yep has been in game since 09 and a cut scene so runner always gets back to bag

Yeah, this isn't something new. And like much of everything else, is the same animation.

There are quite a few of these cutscenes that I really never liked. Usually when the game is idle. I'd rather the game just pause after a long delay instead of showing an umpire showing off his golf swing or a display of air guitar skill. Its a bit silly.

I have never seen the hidden ball trick in any MLB The Show titles.... what gives?

I really wish they'd atleast make it to where the hidden ball trick actually got somebody out. It doesn't ALWAYS work in baseball but it does work, look at Tampa Bay vs LA Dodgers from last year. Tampa Bay used hidden ball trick to get Juan Uribe out at third, more the runner and base coach's fault for not paying attention to the game. James Loney throws the ball to Escobar, who then throws it to Longoria while Uribe's head is down and the third base coach is talking to him, Uribe picks his foot up off the bag and Longoria tags him out. Now this doesn't ALWAYS happen nor does it ALWAYS work but it does work in baseball and i'd like to see it work atleast once a season or something. Just my opinion though

It`s nothing serious like a pickoff.


It` when you haven`t touched the control in a little bit and then it shows the third baseman playfully attempt a hidden ball trick with no intent of it succeeding.
