I know this is a little late to reply to this one but I'm going to hold off on MLB 14 for a while and just stick to 13. I decided to start a fantasy "season" not franchise and I got the #3 pick as the Astros. I am using the OSFM Hybrid v2.2 roster. I can't remember every round number of the draftees but here is my roster:

Lineup:
CF Mike Trout (1st)
SS Starlin Castro
RF Bryce Harper (Acquired in Trade)
1B Eric Hosmer
3B Manny Machado
2B Scooter Gennett
C Travis D'Arnaud
LF Starling Marte
DH Juan Francisco

Bench:
CF AJ Pollock
SS Didi Gregorious
C Hank Conger
RF Alex Presely

Pitching:
Jordan Zimmerman
Shelby Miller
Hyun Jin Ryu
Jose Fernandez
Danny Hultzen

Bullpen:
Neftali Feliz
Trever Rosenthal
Tony Sipp
Arredondo (Forgot first name)
And a few more young, good potential guys

I have only made one trade and that is when I sent Jonathan Singleton, Trevor Story, and Archie Bradley (all top 50 prospects) for Bryce Harper.
Although I am 1-2 so far I really love the potential of this team. I think my oldest player is either 28 or 29 or maybe even lower and I have a player payroll just under 20 Million which is great. In a few years that payroll will increase dramatically because of arbitration but right now it's great. About to start a series with the A's!

Not sure what round but I remember he was really underrated which is fine with me lol. But he is a rookie in 13 so he hasn't had his ROY year yet so I can see why. I bumped some ratings of his the way I saw fit so his Ovr went from an 84 to 87.
By the way, is there anyway to see the draft results again? I would like to look back and see when I drafted some guys.

I want to know your guys opinion on a trade. I know there is a trade thread but I thought since this is still The Show 13 and a fantasy draft team that I would ask for you guys opinion. Even though this is a fantasy draft season I like to make realistic trades. So here it is:

Astros(me) send:
Didi Gregorious B Pot
AJ Pollack 25 yrs old/ 75 Ovr/ C pot
Minor League catcher that was 24 with B pot
Minor league outfielder with C pot

Tigers(them) send:
Yasiel Puig 83 Ovr A pot
Minor league player with D pot

I tried to make it as realistic as I could but I'm not sure. I don't like cheating the CPU so I would like you guys opinion.

Go to your roster foundation screen....it should show how he was aquired....and since it was a fantasty draft....I have to assume drafted...round pick etc.

Correct me if I am wrong.

It will only show how the present team acquired him.

Meaning if I have Justin Upton. It would say acquired via trade (ARI) in 2013, even if it was a fantasy draft. Unfortunately it will not show the round.

I kind of "cheesed" it a bit and I didn't go with a player who was above 27 and below a B prospect except for Juan Pierre.


I think I might redo it. I went with the Pirates, but not sure if I like going with an NL. Not sure what AL team I will go with. I might just stick with the Rangers. Or I might just go Rockies, Giants or Nationals and switch NL to DH on. Still not sure, but I need to figure it out.

One thing I hate about the Fantasy Drafts, we should be able to set the draft order and turn off snake draft if we want to. For all the options The Show gives us, I've never understood why they don't give us this one.

Everyone is enjoying fantasy drafts even though the CPU logic has them carrying 15 pitchers? I feel like it's cheating.

Yea I wish it was and is more of a challenge with a fantasy draft!! As is, it's way to easy to walk all over the cpu in the draft. At least that's been my experience for years now with this game.
