Developing a cornerback for sim league
I run a online sim league until we reach the playoffs then the user teams can play if they make the playoffs. For cbs what is the best attributes to increase to make a ball hawk cornerback. I have the falcons with Terrelle Brown, Desmond truant, Robert Alfred, and Tommie Cambell. Brown had 5 picks last season and Asante Samuel had 6 but it was probably because of the sim having zone plays. Trufant had 6 int his rookie season but then only had 1 pick after I upgraded his man to 93 85 awar 85 play rec and 81 pursuit. So my question is what do you put into making a ballhawk sim cb? I have heard catch but not sure.Tags: None -

I have found that upgrading awareness for defensive players usually puts them in the right position to make a play on the ball. Not sure how much play recognition affects CB's... -
Re: Developing a cornerback for sim league
I didn't play M25, but assuming the ratings work similar, I liked my DBs to be coverage and ballhawks.
Typically, I focused on these:
AWR: Ability to locate the ball in the air.
PRC: Ability to "read the QB's eyes" and "understand the route combination".
CTH: Does he have "good mitts"? After doing everything else, does he finish the play, or does he leave INTs on the field?
MCV/ZCV: Ability to keep himself in good position and overall "comfort level" or instincts for that type of coverage. For MCV - he has to stay with the receiver so he's in good shape to make the play. For ZCV - he has to read the play as it's unfolding and attack with anticipation."Some people call it butterflies, but to him, it probably feels like pterodactyls in his stomach." --Plesac in MLB18Comment
