This the exact reason I always get the hard copy.

I get the feeling this is exactly why Sony started the pre-loading thing. Just sucks it wasn't out in time for The Show to utilize it (confimed by Ramone)

Getting these digital copies out on time seems to be a challenge for them, so they said "eff it, let them DL it early."

Just got unlucky w/ the timing.

I'm going to ask for it. If I get a no, then it's going straight to the credit card security customer service and get the transaction cancelled.

I thought the moderator of a video game message board saying "relax, it's just a video game" earlier was amusingly ironic.

I took a personal day off work to get into this game today. Went from mildly annoyed last night to pretty aggravated when I woke up and found out this is now cutting into my gametime.

I don't get a whole lot of time off from work to play video games, unfortunately.

Alright, the time has come for everyone to take a breath.

First let me say - I get it. I rushed home last night to make sure I was there at midnight. I then stayed up until 2 AM to get the download started. I set my alarm for 5:30 AM to see if it was up before I went to work. When none of this happened, I was angry. And I completely understand that everyone here is, as well.

But this is not the place to take out your frustrations. Think before you hit the reply button. If it isn't helpful, then let it go. SCEA knows what's going on, Ramone has been in this thread multiple times and I have seen Twitch stream from both him and Nick Livingston with attempts at Q & A. It's on PSN's side now.

Please try to post respectfully and civilly from here out. If you have any information, quote the source. We don't want rumors spread.

Guys and gals, I know it's a cliche, but it is a video game, and will be up at some point. Go enjoy your day and keep your eyes here for updates.

I am going to close this thread for 30 minutes so that everyone can have a minute to calm down. Do not open another thread for this.

The thing is,if playstation said they would have this available to download at 12:01 ET. If they couldn't deliver they shouldn't have said it.

Lol, this whole situation is comical.

I was a relatively happy 360 gamer that decided to make the switch to PS4 90% because I needed The Show and a decent baseball game in my life. I ordered a PS4 soon after New Years assuming The Show would be out in early March and was obviously real bummed that it got moved to May. But whatever, they COMMUNICATED why the date was moved and I was fine with it.

I pre-ordered a physical copy because I've never ordered digital and of course I enjoy getting free goodies for pre-ordering. When I heard about patch 1.7 that allowed pre-downloading, I decided to take the plunge (no pre-order bonus?!) and make the switch to digital thinking I could stay up late and play a game at midnight.

I've followed The Show news closely, but somehow didn't hear pre-downloading wasn't an option until late last week. I then found out a shop somewhat near me was selling early. I decided to wait, as digital started sounding more appealing to me. I killed the weekend by being sad and watching streams of The Show and constantly hoping that Sony would "flip the switch" and allow the game to pre-download at some point over the weekend. Obviously, that didn't happen.

So last night, I stayed up late (I have an early job) to make sure that everything went smoothly and it was downloading. I waited. And then waited some more. Got annoyed and checked everywhere and saw it wasn't just me and decided to go to sleep and set a VERY early alarm to check again. Obviously, we are now here. I'm now at work with a lot less sleep than usual and I don't have the peace of mind that my game is downloading. It's frustrating to say the least.

The game will be fantastic and I'll (hopefully) play it soon. I just wish things were communicated better even if it is bad news. Bad news is better than no news.

I really feel for The Show team as obviously this isn't their fault and I can't wait to really dive into this game.
