The fact that they said a refund would take 4-8 weeks, and gave me a "case number" as opposed to a transaction confirmation number, seemed sketchy. I said screw it, I'll wait and hope it is up relatively early.

I get it, i really do. If I had ordered digitally I'd be pretty annoyed, but I wouldn't expect Sony to do anything to compensate me. I believe they will have the game available today as promised, but I understand why people feel the way they do.

It's not so much that the game won't be available today as it is that its 47GB so not only am I still waiting for it to be available then I still have to download it after that to be able to play. A lot of people wanted it to download overnight so they could play when they woke up or got out of work.

Im not exactly sure what you want them to say. They have said they are working on it. Do you want them to say that every hour? Its not like they have just forgotten about it.

Simply stating that they are aware is not enough of a custom service remedy. They have made the error so it is their responsibility to make the customers feel comfortable and understanding of the error that they've made. Obviously people are not pleased so there is more to be done.

Yep. I'm not buying a hard copy without a guarantee of a refund. I guess I'll just find something else to occupy my time for the next 4 or 5 hours.

I really don't understand the people in this thread who are blaming the consumer for being upset about a company under-delivering on a promise made at point of purchase. That's pretty standard and acceptable/expected behavior for the consumer. Is this just fanboy mentality?

No, what they promised is 12:01 am, it is now ten hours later. That is unacceptable, plain and simple. It is ridiculous that we still have people making excuses for them.

Really thinking about buying the physical copy on my way to work now, and getting a refund on the digital copy. They damn well better give it to me, if that is what I decide to do.

Bottom line, the full game isn't on the servers yet, because it's not in our libraries and not titled as full game on the store yet, still pre order. Just gotta wait until they do they gotta do, and update the store. once that happens, it'll go from pre order, to full game, and we'll get our product. it's unfortunate, but only thing we can do.

I understand your chat must be flooded with people looking for answers, but no way should you wait half an hour just to see this.

I know it's been brought up earlier in this thread and we're now in the why we should/shouldn't be mad phase, but I mean come on. I was only looking to make alternate plans to obtain the game (picking up a physical copy if I could get a partial refund), but by the looks of things most of us will just have to stick it out.

This is terrible and I hope it never happens in the future.

You guys need to be careful. They are telling you, you will receive a refund. I've seen numerous cases as well as one in this thread where Sony told gamers they would refund them only for the gamer to receive a email saying all sales are final. I've seen it here and on IGN. So just saying dont get stuck with both versions of the game. You guys do deserve refunds though, and if Sony doesn't follow through do charge backs with your bank or credit card company.

As I've said before, if companies truly want consumers to go digital, they need to provide more incentive than downloading a game on midnight of the release day which they still apparently can't even get right. Need to make it available a week before the street date.
