From my past experience playing Madden on remote play there was an ever so slight lag from time to time that would screw something up. Typically if it's a direct-to-PS4 connection the latency is minimum. Some game's are even optimized (inFamous) for it.

I haven't used Remote Play since the 1.7 update though, but I know Sony had improved Remote Play as a part of that.

It would not be on the go. Just from the same house and wifi network of the PS4.

I just tried this myself playing downstairs, PS4 is upstairs, it was way too laggy for me. On pulse pitching I had to press opposite, when circle is largest, so that it would be correct and on swinging I was Very Late on 94 mph fastballs. I was even Too Late or Late when I swung as soon as the pitch left the pitchers hand.

I just had the same experience over the same distance with the same results using in house wifi. I was still downloading the game so that might have affected it but I had to swing and pitch way early for it to be normal. Looks like this will be a same room direct connect game.

I used the wifi router to connect ps4 and psv,not direct connect by ps4.

Here is very strange to me by direct connect to ps4,

because that will cause remote play very lag.

So,by used wifi connect via internet ,i feel no lag by remoting play mlb the show 14,

and i don't need on same room to use remote play,

It's cool, I get what you're saying. You must have a pretty good router or one that plays nice with the PS4 and Vita. My router is a couple years old so that could be part of the problem also.

How are you guys handling the remapping of the r2/l2 buttons? I understand the touch screen underneath is the replacement.....but I can not get them to consistently respond. I could rarely get the guess pitch option to work and stealing was hard. I could never actually get it to work. Anyone else having issues?

Also, I was using direct connect and was in my bedroom, one floor above the PS4 and it worked brilliantly. I didn't notice any lag. The only issue I had (and this was happening already before MLB14) is sometimes I get errors saying my connection is weak. I even got kicked off once or twice. This started happening after the recent 1.70 and 3.15 firmware updates. Everything is peachy, then that little icon appears, things get glitch for a second, then it clears up "or" it drops connection. Prior to 1.70 and 3.15 this literally never happened in 4 months of playing.

Has anyone seen this behavior.

The back panel of the Vita is dived into four quads. When facing the Vita front screen, the upper right quad is the R2 button for guess pitch. Just make sure you are tapping the upper right quad and not toward the middle or the bottom of the Vita rear touch screen. Also make sure your fingers aren't touching elsewhere on the screen. I have large hands and I often find my hands grazing or resting on the back. Vita does a good job of letting you know with the blue overlay of where your fingers are.

I get a lag when hitting and pitching in that when I press it button it doesn't register right away, but the game is smooth. It doesn't appear laggy. Makes hitting fastballs very difficult. I had one hit in five innings through remote play and then switched to the PS4 and controller and got four hits in the sixth. So much easier to hit.

This could just be my vision too. I have to use timing in the Vita version of the game as I cannot pick up location on the Vita.
