    O.S.F.M. OD v2.0 - 25 man roster set (franchise)

I have taken all the minor league players off of the 40 man rosters using Knight's new v2.0 rosters. Using these you don't have to worry about the lineups getting screwed up after you end spring training in a franchise. You will just have to add the players back to the 40 man during the regular season when you call them up. I have tested these and they work.

    PSN: Hoss311

Rosters uploaded to the vault under: O.S.F.M. OD v2.0 -25

This roster will help you if you want Knights exact roster when you enter the regular season of a franchise. Especially useful if you use 30 team control.

Do you have to set all the 40 man teams or just the team you play with? Thanks.

You can do whatever you want to the rosters, as long as you keep 25 guys on the 40 man roster your lineups will stay the same after you advance to the regular season.

From my experience you don't have to completely fill the 40 man rosters if you don't want to, you could play games in your franchise with 25 guys on the 40 man. If you want to call any guy up from the minors though on any team you will need to put him on the 40 man roster first

I guess what I meant was do I need to manually reinstate the cpu's 40 man roster after the season starts or just leave it alone and it'll take care of itself?

I havent started a franchise yet, was waiting on the new hybrid set, but was wondering after reading this...Is there a reason you made this file, is it due to an issue in the franchise with rosters messing up the file, or was it just so you dont have to use more options on players after the season starts? Since I havent started my franchise, im sort of clueless here, just wasnt sure what this roster was being used for exactly! TIA

If you control all 30 teams and want a full 40 man then you need to do it manually. If you dont do 30 team control then the cpu will adjust on its own and you just take care of your team. I control 30 teams and make the moves as they happen in real life, and eventually all 40 man rosters fill up.

So for those of us who only control 1 team and let the CPU do it's thing with the other 29 teams, this doesn't cause any weird issues in your experience?

Using this will prevent the CPU from making a bunch of crazy roster moves at the end of spring training, and will keep Knights rosters intact going into the regular season. Without this you would have to make all the moves manually before you entered the regular season or end up with guys sent down\ called up that shouldnt be or placed wierd in the lineup.

If you let the CPU do its thing and you only control 1 team you dont need this.

For those of us new to the game, could you explain step by step exactly what we need to do? I would like the CPU to initiate trades and such, but at the same time, I don't want to see David Ortiz batting leadoff when I play the Red Sox.

                          Thanks.

                          Rick

new to the forums here! thanks for posting this, im going to try my best to follow this format, its brilliant. i cant believe i never thought about controlling all of the teams so i can make the real life trades (DUHHHH) thanks a lot man. do you have any tips to make roster adjustments easier? say im going to be the mets, but am controlling all 30 teams, if i only want to make sure my mets 40 man roster is filled, the other teams will eventually auto fill yes? i dont care about what minor league players are on the other teams as long as i can control the actual mlb trades.

Just make sure you change the trade settings. You need to be able to force trades and youll want to ignore budgets. Also make a setting to set the other 29 teams at and switch everything you want the computer to handle to AUTO instead of MANUAL.
