    HUGE RTTS Issue

Started a RTTS with a SP. I'm doing good and finally get up to the majors. I noticed that while in the minors, I only came out if three game due to bad performance , never due to stamina levels. Thought it was just a coincidence. First game in the majors, i throw 140+ pitches.. In 7 innings!!! The game refused to take me out! Despite the fact that a pop up said Your player has no energy.
Yea no freaking joke! But i can't take myself out. There was literally nothing in my energy bar. The game wouldn't take me out till i loaded the bases because i couldn't spot anything, even perfect pitches were everywhere on the plate.
Before losing the bases i had surrendered 2 walks, 1 ER, and a couple hits through 6. Everyone of of the runners scored when the relief pitcher finally came in, killing my era.
This is a HUGE mode breaker as far as I'm concerned and needs to be addressed immediately. So i hope the friendly SCEA reps are reading this.

Been a problem for a long time. The game will just leave you in until you give up a hit or a run. Which could be like, a TON of pitches.

I've always wanted a feature where you could ask your catcher to come to the mound and have a drop down menu where "I have nothing left" would be an option, and the computer would take a look at your stamina, and the manager would possibly warm someone up or replace you. Because sometimes the system just isn't smart enough to know...

not sure if you tried this or if it would help but maybe try adjusting the manger hook slider.

An "I got nothing left" option and a "Let me stay, I can do this" option for when a manager wants to pull you would be cool options to have to gain/lose trust from your manager.

How has this not been addressed if it is turning into a legacy issue?
I'm sorry, but this mode, as a pitcher, is completely unplayable to me if this isnt fixed.

Had this happen a couple of years ago... I haven't played as a pitcher since. It definitely sours the realism.

Just raise the Manger Hook slider one or two notches to right. Fixed! I Personally have mine on 6.

Nice to have a decent workaround, but this still needs to be fixed.

Yep that's what the sldier is for. It's not a work around it's designed to let people who want pulled later get pulled later or sooner.. etc..
                  unless I'm missing something here...

If you adjust the manager hook slider will they always take you out then or will it be only if you are really fatigued and starting to struggle?

The default slider shouldn't make me stay in till I have a horrible inning, can't control pitches and load the bases and effectively inflate my ERA.
I would think the default control would pull me BEFORE 140+ pitches when my energy bar is above 0.

                        I get what you're saying,
                        But that's simply a preference.
Some might want the default power slider to have more or less homeruns. etc..
I'm simply saying it's not a "work around" but rather you have the option to set it how you want. That's what sliders are for, to change if you don't like the default setting.

I can't remember if the slider pulls earlier or later due to fatigue or not.
IF it still doesn't pull you due to fatigue then I'd say it's an issue.
I'll have to pay attention next time as I hope it pulls for fatigue..

                          Re: HUGE RTTS Issue

This has been an issue with relievers as well. I've created a RTTS closer before and I've been used 3,4,5 innings at a time usually because of extra innings. I distinctly remember being used once for 6 innings.

The game logic when it comes to pitcher management has always been horrid.

The 2k series had exactly the same issues with the single player mode leaving pitchers in too long, so it isn't just this game that has issues in this area. Must be hard to program that sort of logic for some reason.

It's very frustrating. I gave up on my pitcher RTTS because of it, but I'm new and didn't know there was a slider to fix the manager yank frequency. I'll adjust it and see how it goes. This message board has been a life saver for a newbie like myself lol.

I'll definitely play around with that slider. Was not aware of it. If it fixes it, then I'll be happy. I still think it needs to be addressed tho, from a realism standpoint.
