how to steal with classic running

im having trouble stealing with classic...if i wanna steal second will someone pease tell me how

I am having stealing on classic or default. I skipped 13, but played 12 and previous. I feel as if when you wave a runner on to go to the next base or home they always pause at each base, losing a few seconds and causing your player to more then likely get tagged out.

Same goes for stealing... 90% of the time they don't listen to me when I want them to steal, and if they do they go VERY late are get caught stealing all the time. i could use some help with this as well.

I had trouble with this as well. They changed it this year and actually made it quite easier IMO as all you have to do is press R2 once before the pitcher starts his windup and the runner will automatically go.

I think this is an issue with you trying to advance players a base at a time with the controls (i.e. advancing a runner from 1st to 3rd by using the controls to send him to second first and then third). At least with the Default baserunning controls, you can the player directly to the desired base and he will not slow down when rounding a bag.

I've not experienced this issue with Default Baserunning, so it could be a problem from the classical/auto controls.
