Ways to make MyGM enjoyable

I am a big fan of the Association/MyGM mode in NBA 2K. I recognize the mode has gotten kind of stale in this year's iteration and have started to "hit a wall" while playing. I was wondering what all you GM guys out there were doing to make it more enjoyable.

What do you find unenjoyable of the mode? I just accept it for what it is, kinda of sucks the moves it made.

How about giving us(the players) back control and customization over everything. Meaning we can control all teams and make trades that happen in real life happen in the game, and edit players attributes to match real life and the ability to turn off player morale since it's terribly implemented(since 2k9). Just for starters. . .

I think most of you guys missed the point. This isn't "what can be done in teh future by 2K to make it more enjoyable".

This is "what can I do right now, with this year's MYGM, to make it more enjoyable".

I need some answers too, I've never made it past half a season this year. It's just not much fun for me.

Anyone remember the association in NBA 2K5? How we would call the plays and we would watch the team play it out.

I loved that mode.

Not sure if it is possible to make it enjoyable IMO.

AI trades are ridiculous. I tried to play it a couple of times and there were always dumb trades.

The most annoying things are that every 5 seconds you are getting bombarded with terrible trade offers and you never earn enough VC to improve your team from year to year.

My team always stay put in ratings while every player on the AI teams jump up by 5-6 points....Jrue Holiday getting up to a 94 in one season LMAO

It's terrible and I wish they would have just put the regular association mode in the game as well.

I really hope Leftos comes through and delivers this year. When was the last time there was genuine overall improvement for Association/MyGM? 2K9?

Well some ways to do use all of 2k's stuff and accept that things will get weird.

Or download a custom roster and I'd recommend downloading a fictional draft class and not reading the reports so it truly is fair, you just go by what you scout. This prevents Rosters from getting too strong and a decent amount of fun while there are some dumb trades its gonna happen and I just say hey there are some dumb trades in the NBA too so.

I wish I had the answer to the question. The lack on control just makes me tend to got play quick games instead.
The last thing I tried was to make a couple roster moves that I had in mind and taking that custom roster into MyGM mode but it just wasn't the same as pulling off trades with in the mode.

This might be a blatant misconception on my part, but I thought custom rosters always had players who progressed WAY too quickly and became studs in a season or two.

Usually its the other way when you use 2k's they progress to highly community typically are more realistic depending on whose you download.

For me it's too easy because I unlocked all the things that increase chemistry and potential...

If I pick up someone like Byron Mullens his potential from being on my team turns him into a 3 star player...

Before 2K14, I made it enjoyable by moving players around and molding the entire league to how I want it. Editing draft class IN THE MODE itself was great. Also, 3 team trades was great too.

Now to answer your question, to make MYGM the slightest bit enjoyable is to take it as is. No multi-team trades, you can't trade your drafted players during the draft, VC, and on on on almost made me trade this game in. I'm hoping and praying the next game is better
