    Should I buy this game?

    Is this a must buy?

I'm not a diehard baseball fan but do like the series. Don't have it on ps3.

Also, if I did buy how's road to the show? I was interested in making a starting pitcher. How is the pitching? How is pitching in road to the show?

Should I buy this or save my money for Watch Dogs?

If you have a ps4 I would say yes, if just a ps3 no.

I am not an MLB fan....my last time I played baseball video game was in SNES (exposing my age now). Did not have PS3, i played xbox and 360 but jumped in today's NG.

I really like the game....Im playing RTTS and in Dynamic level wherein the AI will play according to your level and would increase/decrease in difficulty as you progress/regress in your game. In my RTTS, I am playing as 2B and enjoying it. I might do an SP in my next RTTS. I am seeing myself to play this game everyday...until NHL or NBA are out...and if they improved based on this year's game...if not...i'll play more of this game.

Seriously though, yes you should. MLB The Show is consistently a fantastic series.

              Thanks.

Question, I am wanting to make a pitcher but I don't want to miss out on the batting experience. But I also wouldn't mind making a great power hitter. Which is best in your opinion? What is the cons and positives of both?

Why stick to one, make a P, power hitter, contact guy, defensive SS, speed CF and so forth.

Such a relative question. If you give me meter pitching on an easy level with all the stuff turned on (K zone, hot zones, ball marker, etc.) I will say that I hate it. Same goes for pulse pitching on hall of fame. For me, I turn everything off, including ball marker; pitch on all-star with modified sliders; and use analog with a broadcast view. Pitching is then awesome. To answer your question best: everyone has a different preference and style and this game gives you SO many options to find what works/is most enjoyable. You may hate the game out of the box, or you may love it. The settings and sliders are your friends.

As far as pitching in RTTS--I've always been a fan of being a reliever so I could get through games quicker. You pitch more often, but you aren't out there for every pitch for 7 innings. Both are fun, but again, it's about preference. Just be conscious of how the game rates/weighs attributes at each position. Stamina is your #1 priority when training as a SP. BB/9 and HR/9 are a good place to start for a RP.

This is a great forum, so if you need help with settings or sliders or anything else, just ask.

Re: Should I buy this game?

I bought it on my new ps4, but honestly I did not notice much of a graphical difference between the ps3 and ps4 versions and I had them side by side hooked up to the same type of 22" LG 1080p monitor. I use a monitor instead of a tv.

The graphics obviously don't look exactly the same, but it's not crazy different.

The game is good, but it's been good for years.
