Along with Tdawg and his Excel Workbooks, editing is a snap now.

I've always wondered how much more of the game's would be opened up to us if "MORE" of the community was in on tinkering and giving feedback utilizing the Editor's.

And there's still yet so much more at our front door to find out with manipulating these football games as the Installed Game on the CG HDD has yet to be really tapped into.

Once we get a working script for BGFA file headers, all of the visual stuff we clamor to edit (personal Uni's etc...) will become available (I have all the .png files used by EA for Uniform Parts)

Simply playing these games from Camera angles that are locked to the gamer makes these games play entirely different (still trying to find the combination to make them fixed/user defined)
--- (PM me if you want to help tinker in this area)

So we still could have a NCAA 15 by/before July for CG.

to much acronym for me to follow, CG, CG HDD, BGFA.

anyhow, i haven't messed with the editors, therefore i don't even know how they work. What ever the project becomes, i want to be in on the ground level as far as having an ncaa '15.

    please keep posted.

I only buy the game every other year anyways, so not having a new game this year doesn't bother me at all.

They use to make great hockey and baseball games. I think when football left they had to scale back as they had less income, if thats not the reason, then I have no clue why their quality just dropped off the face of the earth

I am hoping 2K or SCEA will pick it up depending on how these lawsuits turn out.

It would've been an XB1 for me, but I would have. NCAA is the only game I buy yearly (I probably only average 2 games per year) and I definitely would've gotten an XB1 for NCAA.

Now with no NCAA I don't foresee myself ever buying another console system.

Yeah, I would have. In hindsight, however, waiting, to me, is the smart move as it allows the console manufacturers to work out the bugs and allows the game developers to have their feet firmly planted when it comes to working with the new system architecture.

I still hold out hope that NCAA will return in a few years but in the meantime I have a big library of past games that I can turn to when I need my fix (that will hit in August).

FIFA is the only other series besides NCAA Football I bought each year. I generally skipped years on NHL and PYS. I'm not sure when I will resume playing NCAA in the late summer or early fall. I've always said NCAA came out too early, but not having the game at all will be an empty feeling once July rolls around.

Re: The NCAA Football Offseason Seems So Much Longer

I tried playing NCAA 13, but it just didn't feel right. I don't want to play my 360. I want to play my XB1. It's a shame they couldn't have made ONE game on next gen before being out. Even if they could have ported the game. Too bad they didn't cancel the series in December.

I guess I will have to go with Madden. Showing slight improvements, but the memories with friends that NCAA produced won't be matched. Can't blame the athletes for wanting compensation, it just sucks we get stuck in the middle.

                      I'm rambling now. Cheers.

this offseason is gonna suck without this game. i can remember having to order it back in the early 2000's because they didnt sell the game in Canada. this was the only game i looked forward to every year, i routinely skip NHL and havent bought Madden in over 10 years. oh well, hopefully someone picks up this game

Re: The NCAA Football Offseason Seems So Much Longer

I've purchased EA's NCAA game ever since NCAA 2003 and it's going to feel really weird not getting it this season.

The good thing is there are some great roster guys in the community here who I know will put out great updated rosters. Buff Eyes and Yukon being two of the best for the 360.

It will be bitter sweet this summer not having a new game but I'm still playing 2k8 College Hoops and MLB 2k12 with updated rosters so I'm sure I'll get used to NCAA being in the same boat as those two titles.

The plus side to this (the only one besides saving money), is that I won't have to wait for patches to drop to fix gameplay. I usually never was able to start a real dynasty until September or October and sometimes had to wait longer for all the patches to drop.

It is extremely disappointing that all college sports have disappeared from the console landscape. It's been nearly five years since we've had a new college basketball game, and at this point I do not expect to ever see one again. As for football, I'd say there is a much better chance of that game returning, but I wouldn't expect it for at least 3-4 years.

The reality is all the NCAA-related lawsuits have to die down. Next, the NCAA needs to finalize the athletes' pay issues. Once those are eventually figured out, the licensing issues will come next. I would imagine EA is the most likely developer to bring the sport back to video games. Hopefully it comes back at all.
