Blue Jackets announce new GM at press conference
COLUMBUS - The Columbus Blue Jackets announced their new GM earlier today at a press conference, whose name is Deekeyd.
Deekeyd does not have much experience as a GM, but is excited to begin on his role as GM.
"I am very excited to be in this organization." he said after the press conference. "I hope to build this team into a Stanley Cup Contender."
We should soon hear what new GM Deekeyd has planned for the Blue Jackets in many years to come. The preseason will begin next week, so keep an eye out for the Blue Jackets this year. -

Blue Jackets edge Hurricanes
CAROLINA - The Blue Jackets won their first preseason game yesterday 4-3 in regulation.
"We had our chances, and we succeded on them." newly-hired head coach Kirk Muller said against his former team. "We need to play better defensively, but I'm pretty sure we can adress that come the regular season."
It was back and forth hockey, but Ryan Murray's game-winning goal in the third got the Blue Jackets the win.
"It's only preseason, but we have to rack up as many wins as we can." he said after the game.
The Blue Jackets will head home to face the New York Islanders on Monday. Game time is 7 PM EST.

Blue Jackets shut out Islanders
COLUMBUS - The Blue Jackets shut out the New York Islanders last night 2-0. Sergei Bobrovsky made 30 saves to accomplish this feat.
"I played really well, and my coach and teammates know that as well." Bobrovsky said in the dressing room.
Jackets' head coach Kirk Muller praised the effort of Bobrovsky and the defense.
"Defense is the key to success." Muller pointed. "Scoring goals is key too, but it's just as important as keeping pucks out of the net."
The Blue Jackets head to Philadelphia on Wednesday. Puck drops at 7 PM EST.

Blue Jackets shopping Umberger
PHILADELPHIA - Reports have said that the Blue Jackets have been shopping captain R.J Umberger around.
Other reports say that GM Deekeyd wants a scoring forward and a draft pick in return for Umberger.
"I won't deny it, I have been shopping [Umberger] around." he told Operation Sports.
He also said that lots of teams are interested in Umberger, but it looks like St.Louis and Chicago are the frontrunners.Comment

Blue Jackets blow lead in Phily
PHILADELPHIA - After leading 2-1 going into the second, the Blue Jackets fell apart in the third in a 3-2 loss.
"We didn't play well in the third." head coach Kirk Muller said. "Their defense was blocking our shots and keeping pucks out of their net. That's why we lost."
After GM Deekeyd said that he was shopping Umberger, he scored a goal and got an assist in his attempt to change his GM's mind of trading him.
"I want to be part of this organization." Umberger stated. "I don't want to leave. I want to help win this team a Stanley Cup, but it will be a team effort."
The Blue Jackets return home on Friday to face the New York Rangers. Puck drops at 7 PM
