Is Madden 25 worth buying for Owner Mode?

It is May 2014 and I assume EA will issue no more patches for Madden 25 so I am wondering if the game is worth buying now for the Owner Mode? I would only play in Owner Mode and would sim most games, with the occasional watching of a game as a spectator only (is spectator allowed in 25?). Are there still game killing bugs in this mode and is the Owner Mode good enough or should I just play franchise in older versions I already have? I have no intention of buying the next Madden at release or for several months after release as I have given up on new release games in general, and EA games in particular, being anything but buggy crap at release or for months after.

    Thanks for any advice.

I recently did the exact same thing. Now that there is no NCAA I wanted to give Madden 25 a shot. I strictly play owner mode and occasionally play, but mainly sim. I'm enjoying it, love reading about the draft classes and researching who's worth taking or not. Very fun, as drafting/recruiting is my favorite aspect of sports games.

I picked up my copy for $20, for that it's definitely worth it, IMO.

If you're not big on sim stats its enjoyable. But beware that when you sim games the end of season stats are usually no where near their real life counterparts. For example, no quarterbacks throwing over 35 touchdown passes, running backs leading the league at a mere 1200 rushing yards, etc. But if none of that bothers you playing as an owner/gm and simming the games is enjoyable, and like the guy above me said its worth it for $20.

Also you could pick up NFL Head Coach off amazon for like $6 and give that a try.

QB sim stats are terrible. It's a fun game, but the sim stats are inexcusable, along with players coming out of retirement 5 years later but staying the same age when they retired.

        EPL - Newcastle United
