I really liked the video. I do wish that they'd record a few versions of Buffer announcing people though. He doesn't have any extra umph in the intro's like he would for a main event title fight like that. He sounds like he's doing a prelim fight.

I hope the accelerated clock is a optional thing.
It’s easier to do the right thing, than to explain why you didn’t.

The intro, though I won't watch many, was unbelievable, the background is great (ring card girls walking around, judges, corner men). These are lighter weight world class fighters and guess what, they actually do move that fast. Now realistically they would not throw that much because they would burn out early. Hopefully that is represented in the game, but they were showing off a single round and probably wanted to pack it with action.

The stand up looked better then the ground game understandably as this is the fight night crew making the game. The foot planting and movement looked nice while a lot of defensive tools were shown i.e. the movement, standard blocking, parry system, and a head sway. The strikes looked quite authentic, Aldo was throwing a lot of crazy kicks out there but I can see how to exploit that tactic easily just from watching.

On the ground it did look like the transitions were quite quick getting back up to standing which is not authentic but will probably keep the game moving. However I am a boxing guy first and MMA second so this would favor my style and makes my opinion on this matter a bit biased.

All and all, I am VERY IMPRESSED. Hope the exploits are minimal and it plays as good as it looks. Can't wait for the demo.

Bruh lets not exaggerate in here. Game indeed looks hot but don't act like this is all perfect because that's simply not true. Sweat, audio, reactions to the punches are on point. Plus I don't think they're nit-picking because they make valid points and gave the game props where it looked really good.

A lot of good, and some shaky spots. The side control slam didn't bother me so much, because the takedown was just likely not defended at all. The transitions looked a tad off, and I would have liked to have seen a submission battle.

The recovery from damage system is too quick for my liking. I noticed if a limb took damage, it stayed red for about 5 seconds then it went back to normal. I don't like that idea at all. Also didn't like how Aldo got dropped but then got back to his feet pretty fast.

I get the choppy movements criticism; some of the ground to standing animations and some of the missed strike animations just look unnatural, like they're too quick to recover.

Overall I'm very impressed though. Definite day one buy for me (it was anyway.)

Solid arcade game, not much sim there. Will be fun with buddies and a few drinks.

I was very impressed by the first gameplay footage released, I like the physics and atmosphere represented in the video. The one thing I feel was done intentionally was NOT to show any submission gameplay which has me concerned. Given how strange of a decision it was to implement the "cat-n-mouse" game from the previous UFC title, I wanted to see what lessons were learned and improved from that. Hopefully they'll release another video soon that will showcase the submission battle/interface.

I shouldn't have watched this. The wait for June 17th just became a whole lot longer.

Looks like Fight Night on speed. It's crazy how quickly the fighters recover and throw from a punch to the face.I will rent first.

That keeps some hope alive, but I'll have to see it first. I didn't think it would be a day 1 buy, but lately I've been leaning towards not even bothering. Hopefully the speed is also turned down on the real clock.
