    FIFA 14 Ultimate Team: World Cup Update & FIFA World Cup Kick-Off Mode Delayed


    The FIFA 14 Ultimate Team: World Cup update and FIFA World Cup Kick-Off mode were both scheduled to release tomorrow. Unfortunately, EA Sports has delayed it.

    To ensure the best possible experience, we have decided to delay the launch of FIFA 14 Ultimate Team: World Cup (PC/PS3/PS4/360/XB1) and the World Cup Kick-Off mode (XB1/PS4).

    Knowing that our players have been so excited for these new modes made it a tough decision. However, as we progressed through final testing we encountered unforeseen issues that would affect all users who downloaded the update, so it’s important to address them first before release.

    Our team is currently working hard to have the update ready to release in the coming days.

    UPDATE:

    Our team is making good progress on the FUT World Cup & World Cup Kick Off update for FIFA 14. We’re doing everything we can to launch it tomorrow, with World Cup Kick Off likely launching earlier in the day.

      A little help here: There's an ultimate team mode and a seperate World Cup mode?
      So that's 2 "new" modes right?

          Kick off mode is just a friendly. Can't play an actual tournament.

              Jesus H Christ. This is becoming a joke now. FUT Web App hasn't functioned correctly for damn near 6 months, and hasn't worked at all for 2 months. New items haven't been added to the catalog in months. There was never a gameplay patch for ng, the list goes on & on.

              Now they delay the release of some potentially good content the day before it was scheduled to release? Pathetic.

                              Damn you EA!!! I was all excited to get home from work only to read this news. Hopefully we will at least get KickOff mode before the weekend.
