Re: What's Best Madden For Franchise Sim Stats?
I believe it's pretty much gotten steadily worse.I currently have '10 and can say that the passing stats are better than at least every version since '12 but the rushing stats are a little worse with a few players getting 2000+ yards and 7-8 yards per carry.Sack totals are high also.I think edits can fix more in '10 than the others but obviously with draft classes in franchise you would need to use the editor .Strength ratings lowered solved most of it and I don't remember how the patch affected it.
'12's main issue was low qb completion pct.,which is still a problem. There was extensive testing and no real fix for it.I for one spent countless hours on '12 and determined that when simming all you could do was go one game at a time and check the stats to see how much they bothered you before saving.
In conclusion I would have to say you'd probably have to go back to a ps2/Xbox version for something considered good.Comment

I agree with you on the QB completion issue for Madden NFL 12. Especially when you had the CPU vs. CPU battling. I had issues where the QBs were too good or utter crap on the field. It was hard to get a feel for. Still, I loved the ultimate control in franchise other than that detail.I believe it's pretty much gotten steadily worse.I currently have '10 and can say that the passing stats are better than at least every version since '12 but the rushing stats are a little worse with a few players getting 2000+ yards and 7-8 yards per carry.Sack totals are high also.I think edits can fix more in '10 than the others but obviously with draft classes in franchise you would need to use the editor .Strength ratings lowered solved most of it and I don't remember how the patch affected it.

I agree. Either 06, 07 or 08 on regular xbox and ps2 I remember being pretty good. Especially if you set sliders and let the cpu play against itself. You could solve the sim stats issues for most versions of Madden with cpu vs cpu play though.Comment

I love watching the CPU vs. CPU in Franchise Mode. I really hope it comes back in Madden NFL 15. I was able to do it in Madden NFL 25, by turning off injuries and picking third string QBs. You had to use two controllers and it was more work than it was worth, but that's how much I like it in franchise/CFM.Comment

Can you explain this? I'm interested in doing CPU vs CPU for Franchise.I love watching the CPU vs. CPU in Franchise Mode. I really hope it comes back in Madden NFL 15. Re: What's Best Madden For Franchise Sim Stats?
You select the 32 3rd string QBs from 32 different teams for player mode. Make sure auto-start is turned off. Make sure the QBs are rated low enough so one isn't boosted to 2nd string. Make sure to turn off injuries.
It's time consuming and the computer makes most of the decisions in trades, releases, signings, and ratings, but it's still fun doing if you're into that. You also have to have both controllers on because it assumes two players from each franchise is playing when in fact they are not. Skip pre-season as well.
Hope this helps.Comment

Is there any way I can do CPU vs CPU while being able to control signings and other things?Comment
