MLB 14 The Show OSFM Hybrid Roster backdated to Opening Day - v2

    PSN name: ChrisJohanson58
Roster name: OD OSFM Hybrid v2

First of all, a great big thanks to Knight and his crew for putting together the OSFM set.

Secondly, a great big thanks to Willard and his crew for creating a Hybrid of the OSFM set.

This set is based on the OSFM Hybrid v.2.1A with beard corrections and the Plate Discipline +5 fix.

Refer to the attached file in this post for a full list of demotions to make after Spring Training. I haven't specified a specific level to which you should demote the players. This is because the CPU will handle the minors itself if you only make sure you g´cut the guys that are supposed to be cut.

Here's a brief overview of how it's be structured:

    • Note that this Opening Day set is based on the "Everyone's healthy" theory

    • 40 man rosters will be as of Opening Day 2014 with one exception - no injured players in single-A. Most of the available roster sets have players that are out for the year (TJ surgery etc) in the minors and removed from the 40-man roster (IRL 60-day DL) to create room for their IRL replacements on the roster. This set will have Matt Harvey, Brandon Beachy, Kris Medlen, Patrick Corbin and more in the Majors from the beginning.
    • When you start a franchise you can either manually injure guys using 30-team control or you can simply let the CPU handle send downs after Spring Training.
    • For the users that manually want to injure and DL players, you'd have to come up with a replacement player for yourself to handle that opening on the 40 man roster when ie. Beachy hits the 60 day DL. For those just looking to play right away and not worry about IRL injuries, you should be good to go after having dropped 15 guys from each organization based on my demotions list (or basically just let the CPU release players)

This second version of the set wouldn't have been as accurate and golden if it weren't for you guys who posted in the last thread. You came up with good suggestions and provided solid information that I could use as a base in my modding.

Also, BIG kudos to 37 for making 95% of the Demotions document. It wouldn't be done today if it weren't for his hard work.

You guys deserve all the credit here. Now go play ball and start up that franchise! I know I will

Haha! To be honest, I first thought of a third installment when I read your post. That's how satisfied I am with this release

Let's put it this way. There's nothing on the horizon. I want to play the game and have fun now.

Like mentioned in the v1 thread, please post any corrections you stumble across in the rosters.

if there's enough feedback regarding CORRECTIONS only, no reason I can't squeeze in a v3 sometime Saturday afternoon (with Totte being out of town till late Saturday night)...again, it would have to be a substantial amount

send them down before you start the regular season. also, sim up to the regular season on tha calendar. don't use the advance to regular season option in the menu, this will make tha cpu automatically send down plyrz for u.

                  hope that helps

teeds posted in the Hybrid thread that he has uploaded new versions of Joey Gallo and Ryan Rua to the vault. PSN name ohtheseblues. Might be worth looking into if he's re-worked their faces

Looking at these I noticed Rhett Varner is on the Reds, IRL I think he is in the Marlins system. Also Maloney want with the Reds Opening day. Just in case your planning to fix any errors, or for someone else who might be.

You mean Maloney was on the 40 man and OD roster for Cincy?

You're right about Varner. Good spotting. You guys can swap Varner with Bob Keppel on the FA list. Then move Varner to the Marlins for 1B Rich Poytress (who's in the Marlins system but signed a couple of days after OD to be correct)

After doing these steps the lineups are incorrect? I am not a roster editor so what to do? Let the CPU auto fix the lineups or do you have another suggestion?
