ALL of my home runs are with contact swing...
Literally all of my home runs are using contact swing (circle)... 8 total so far.

Coincidence?
Beyond that, have you never barreled-up a baseball before? You don't have to swing out of your shoes to make the ball go a long way. A quality, even, level swing is all that's required in many cases. -

It's so weird.
I only use circle when I'm behind in the count 0-2, 1-2, sometimes 2-2 and full count depending on the situation.
8 times now it's been a homerun lol. I know sometimes this could happen, but it kinda defeats the purpose of even having a power swing (square) button for meComment

Re: ALL of my home runs are with contact swing...
The contact swing is out of whack this year. Even though Ramone said there were no changes to it specifically, something in the game is affecting it causing a power boost.“The saddest part of life is when someone who gave you your best memories becomes a memory”Comment

Hasn't it always been like that? I've only hit 3 homers with power swing in 7am years and they all came online in this years version. Contact swing os the way to go.@KingTate84 on twitter.Comment

No it was fine last year. Occasional home run is totally fine now the contact swing feels like the normal swing with the enlarged PCI bonus.“The saddest part of life is when someone who gave you your best memories becomes a memory”Comment

My friend, who uses the Phillies almost exclusively, has hit multiple contact swing home runs off me with Ben Revere.
I think it's safe to say that the contact swing is a tad overpowered in this game.
There are no real disadvantages to using it over the other two swing types, considering you can still hit plenty of extra base hits and home runs, while it boosts your PCI quite a bit more than a normal or power swing.Last edited by jyoung; 06-08-2014, 08:29 PM.Comment

without question it is OP this year. I have hit alot of HRs with it and have resorted to using it the majority of the time. Conversely, the power swing is a virtual lock to whiff too often with the timing mechanic.Comment

Yeah I'm starting to think circle contact swing should be used more often than X normal swing...Comment

I keep reading this, but in 2+ months in a franchise I think I have hit ONE contact HR. I don't use any aids (so no bonuses), I wonder if there is something in there that is 'over-bonusing' people who are experiencing this.
I play with all sliders middle except pitcher control/consistency, and all-star for everything.
I can honestly say there is no difference from what I've seen so far.Comment

Re: ALL of my home runs are with contact swing...
I have used contact swing a few times and never hit a homerun with it. Most of the time I use normal swing and that is where I get all my homeruns. The few times I have used Power Swing I misjudged the ball badly and it ended up as a bad pop up. I really fine that just waiting for a good pitch down the middle or a little up in the zone gets me my home runs. I have hit 5 homeruns during my first monComment

I'm also in the "no contact home runs" camp, but I don't use it as often, and I never play online.Comment
