Just wanted to get some more "feedback" from some of the DIEHARD OS users who have been playing MyTeam for a couple years now! I know you guys live on these forums when it comes to discussing MyTeam and i would love to hear your thoughts on the amount of VC it takes to complete collections and all that type of stuff! Obviously it isn't but it has its ups and downs.
In Mut Hut and Fut you can open 30 packs without getting anything while in this system if you open 30 packs you are all but guaranteed a pretty good player and you will probably at least come close to completing a collection.
Personally I don't like it because I much prefer games that have markets/auctions and trading. -

I've played both fifa ultimate team and my team quite a bit and both are rip off, it's just a question of what degree. You can build a decent fifa team with about $10 but if you want to build the absolute best teams with Ronaldo or Messi, you would have to spend $1000s of dollars. The packs won't give you anything good. It gives you the illusion of a better value because you get more players but most them of them are crap.
As for my team, the amount of vc per pack is ridiculous too but at least you will get good players. To build the best team with non diamond players, I would estimate you would have to spend about $150 or maybe less. Which is a lot less than fifa. You can easily spend that much on one player in the FIFA marketplace.
Both games will try to make you spend money as much as possible. EA has gotten it down to a science.

IMO, the 2k13 myteam packs were the best. Now, it feels like everyone has a stacked team with MJ, Lebron, Dr J and etc. In 2k13 whenever you got a gold legend it felt great because they were so hard to get and also packs were only 1,500 VC which is better than current gen(10,500VC and mostly dupes) and next gen. I also think Jordan should go back to strictly being a reward for making the first seedComment

Stacked teams are more a result of the Domination reset glitch and My GM VC farming than the pack opening system.
Take away those two loopholes, and the pack opening system is incredibly unfair to people who just play My Team normally.
Yes, for being by far the best player in the mode, Jordan is way too easy to get.I also think Jordan should go back to strictly being a reward for making the first seedComment

I've literally opened about 35-40 of the 86 Hawks pack and have gotten everyone but one bronze player. I've got at least 3 dupes of the same player before getting the bronze that I'm after. Dominique is incredibly frustrating to getThey got the big fella down there inside, and if you slow the game down a lot he'll get into position. That wouldn't make a lot of sense since there's not much to play for after getting to the first seed. Although I do agree it is too easy to get Jordan. There are far too many versions and this leads to all the cheese in this mode.

Considering you have to spend money or worse weeks of your time to get a player one specific player you want the answer is no. I watched many pack openings where guys spent 40-60 bucks just for one player and they dont get him. Its sad, but 2k loves it.Comment

IMO we have noway of knowing if the present system is "fair". The frequency of duplicates over and over of the same player would hint that something in the programming is not creating enough randomness in the player received.
If the amount of VC or MT points spent over time determined what chance you had of unlocking certain players I would say its an unfair perhaps even unethical way (especially for VC buyers) of doing business.
I like the pack system, but there is room for improvement and it starts with duplicates.Comment
