    RTTS -Moving up

Is it just me or does it seem way to easy to move through AA and AAA then to the show? Less then a year, really..... seems way to quick imo. Seems like it is effortless.
Really wish sports games played to ratings!

It depends..I have a guy who went to AAA midseason and the following season went back to AA..near the end of season 2 I'm back at AAA. And I hit rather well at every level so far..

Oh wow really. Well, thats good to hear (well that it can happen). Ive created 4 players and all 4 have moved up pretty steadily. So I wasnt sure if it was the game, or what. 1 player, got called up to replace an injured position. Then had a horrific spring training were I thought for sure he would get sent back to AAA. Didnt happen, I stayed at my position, and the guy I replaced was on the bench who was hitting .400 all spring.

Im using TNK's sliders and playing on Veteran. My hitting has always been a struggle.

I will say it's probably closer to what you're seeing than what my player experienced. I like to go back to school for a year or 2 sometimes because getting called up to the show at 18 is not realistic in my mind..

Last player was A-Rod, 20 years ago. And only towards the end of the season.

The one thing I'm wondering is if you go back to school for 4 years..besides the extra points you get, which frankly isn't much, does the 22 year old have better numbers? I would think if he has an A potential instead of the normal overall 54-56 grade or thereabouts he starts at 70ish.

I had exactly 100 AB's in AA and moved to MLB. I didnt even play a game in AAA. It does seem easier but people complain when things are too realistic in RTTS because it gets too "boring". Look at all the suggestions people have to make RTTS "better" They basically want to run the team as player asking for who they want to get traded to, who their team signs ect ect.

Wish I had that problem haha. Year one my SS for the White Sox spent most of the year in AA, hit around .330, and made the all-star team. Spent the last 2 months in AAA, hit around .350 and figured I'd be good for the MLB next year.

The White Sox re-signed me in the off-season... and sent me right back to AA. I'm halfway through May in year 2 and I just got called up to AAA. I don't mind spending time in the minors, I'm still having a blast with the mode, but my potential remains a D, despite performing above expectations at every step.

I think the potential plays a big factor in moving up to MLB from AA. My player, 2B, was rated B and was on the mid-2nd rounder. I was 1/3 of my 1st year was in AA and the rest was in AAA. In 2015, I was signed a 500K one year deal for SF Giants. At first I was playing either a PH or PR. Until Mid-May when I started playing as starter. At the end of the year 2 (2015-16), I won the ROTY with .307 Ave, 16 HR and 64 RBI. I only played the All-Star in AAA and not in MLB yet.

I am now in 2006-17 (year 3) season and got a contract of 1.3 M/yr x 3 yrs. Giants was offering me 1.3M/yr x 6 years....cheapskates! After some bargaining I got my deal. I am now struggling...started as Rookie, Under dynamic and now in All-Star (first time MLB here after SNES baseball game)

                          Re: RTTS -Moving up

Im playing on legend, had a hot start in AA, I was an A potential and high first rounder but selected Jays as my team. I mashed the ball and was hitting over .350 in AA with good power and overall numbers.

Moved to MLB and was on a crazy hitting streak (fire indicator) and was hitting everything and had a sweet OPS but came back to earth and had a 10-15 game streak where I wasnt getting my hits dropped from .350 avg to .270 something till I came back to level out around .285-.290. Im ok with that..its not the all star break yet and Im starting at 3rd and Lawrie is playing 2nd. I wouldnt have minded going through the leagues but I seem to be adjusting to MLB. The league definitely adjusted how they pitched to me and I had to learn some patience. I put all my points to contact/vision and then power till they were at a level i know I can mash and then filled my durability so i wouldnt get tired and miss games or "get tired" and have a decrease in ratings.

Ya, I have seen some of the requests, and they frankly dont make much sense. Your a player, not a manager. That is franchise mode. Create yourself, add you to your roster, and then player lock yourself, issued solved lol. I love RTTS because you DONT have control of whats going on. Your the player, and you do what your told to

So I decided to start another guy SS, moved all my difficulties up +1.
So I go through the showcase, and didnt hit well, but somehow ended with earlt first round and 58 with A potential. Drafted 4th (I think) to the Twins. So I decide to actually follow my own thought and 2nd'ed by Mitchrapp (who follows the same theory) I decide to go to school for 3 years. I add points, played showcase, again hitting bad and this time fielding also went horribly bad. To my surprise, I am still an early round 1st rd pick, 60 with A potential. I get drafted by the Cubs (who btw have 2, potentially 3 good to great SS already (SMH)) #6 (again I think). Its kind of funny, because my main rtts guy (1B) got drafted by the Cubs. So, so far 2 games into AA and............
I break my arm and am on the 60 day DL LMAO!!!! well, its a new start I guess.
