EA Sports UFC Available Now, Post Your Impressions -
Operation Sports Forums
The upgrade is complete, but you've probably noticed the forums are only showing posts up to about April 8. Posts made after that are still in the process of being moved over, and that should take another week or two. Feel free to start a new thread.
The site might feel a little slow while work continues. Engineers are staying on it through the night to get things moving faster again. Thanks for your patience.

Any Bruce Lee impressions? he's the only reason i'd consider getting this game
he is very fast in the game, may be the fastest character overall, and he has all of his little warrior cries from the movies. a good representation, I have only fought against him online, not as him yet.

If a stamina/AI patch comes out I will be pretty satisfied with this game as a 1st effort.
Specially tuning the stamina to be adjusted to accelerated clock or normal clock to the users preference.
It has some odd animations at times, but I can overlook that. I just want the stamina and overaggressive AI brought into the realms of normalcy.
I agree, they really need to patch the Stamina and AI issues. The stamina thing is insane considering how much the AI can spam punches and kicks with their stamina barely going down. This has to be my big pet peeve so far.
Re: EA Sports UFC Available Now, Post Your Impressions
Where is the bug thread? I have had two submissions reset to stand up out of nowhere. I believe both times I was fighting Bruce lee but I may be wrong.
Re: EA Sports UFC Available Now, Post Your Impressions
So after playing for a few hours and as a person who is a VERY casual MMA fan but who also enjoys some sort of realism I really like the game. Yes the AI is aggressive but it's not as bad as in the demo. But I feel like most things are really good and the other issues that people have had such as stamina and the little things like the ref not coming to the aid of a fighter and the "KO only" finishes. Plus it actually offers me a challenge on normal difficulty and I've lost my prelim fight in the UFC tournament twice :/ I need to get better at this game....hopefully you all don't destroy me too badly online

Does anyone know how to keep your opponent from getting up? Everytime I take someone down online, they click the LS immediately and get out free. Any help appreciated, it's pretty frustrating
Game is Awesome for a first try. Menus are dark and drab but I see the reasoning everyone can see that graphics wise and animation wise this is the best representation if any boxing or band to hand combat video game ever made. Every match is different you can tell right after say 5 matches with different height players different weight players it's truly interesting and has made an uninterested UFC viewer a potential interested watcher if UFC matches. Well done team!

Played as Ronda, Silva, and Bruce Lee so far. I've won all my matches but I had a slobber knocker between Ronda and Liz C. She jacked up my leg, busted my eye open and knocked me down 3 times before the 2nd round :0. As soon as 2nd round started I busted her cheek open and she cut my eye open again lol we looked like two gladiators with blood everywhere. I eventually knocked her out during the last min of the 2nd. I gotta see if I can pull it up on Share. Having fun so far, submissions are still confusing though.

Re: EA Sports UFC Available Now, Post Your Impressions
EDIT: this is just my opinion. I do not think I am right nor do I think anybody else is wrong. This is just my personal view, nothing more
I've played enough, IMO, to rate it now. I've posted a number of impressions as I have played already, I will keep this short. This "review" is only in regards to my HUMAN vs CPU experience.
I give it 6.8 out of 10.
It's fun, it looks and sounds pretty good, and I bet a lot of people will have fun online. That being said, it's not very realistic, much more arcade than sim, and it just gnaws at me constantly when I see things that just wouldn't happen in a fight. I know it is hard to program an accurate mma game, with the way fighters move, strike from different angles, and improvise game plans on the fly, I don't think it's reasonable to expect perfection in this area but I do think it can be a lot better than this. There isn't much of a mesh here, just mostly an arcade game that has real life techniques and some realistic mechanics sprinkled in there. I've tried really hard to notice but I just don't see that much difference between CPU opponents other than a few more takedown attempts. There's a lot more to mma than that. A few other design choices already documented in this thread trouble me as well.
They made the CPU challenging, but not in a realistic or rewarding way IMO. AI and stamina need a lot of work as well as some animations/physics. I enjoy learning the mechanics of the game and executing throws from the clinch and successfully controlling the ground, those are strong points for me. Sweeps/reversals are way too common tho.
For a first effort, it succeeds on a number of levels. I am sure casual mma fans will get a lot of fun out of it (I hope that doesn't sound condescending). I know some people who are real hardcore mma fans were waiting for this game to buy a ps4 or Xbox one. I hope they aren't disappointed.
It's good enough for me to look forward to the next one.
I was hoping to avoid online play but I might have to find a sim league since the CPU is just...."unoriginal" fight in and fight out, for lack of a better word.
I think sliders would have gone a long long way here. With gameplay sliders that work this game could easily be a 9

Pro difficulty is absolute bull****. You are able to go toe to toe with most fighters but should they decide to put you in a submission there is no possible way to escape from it. The right stick bars barely fill up that's how impossible it is to escape.
