EA Sports UFC Available Now, Post Your Impressions -
Operation Sports Forums
The upgrade is complete, but you've probably noticed the forums are only showing posts up to about April 8. Posts made after that are still in the process of being moved over, and that should take another week or two. Feel free to start a new thread.
The site might feel a little slow while work continues. Engineers are staying on it through the night to get things moving faster again. Thanks for your patience.
Welcome to EA Forums, where you can chat about games with other players, help each other out, share feedback, and report issues youโre having with EA games.

OK thanks for clarifying. I'll look into it some more when I get a chance. No promises though.
Sorry, one more point of clarification.
Do you find it's just the getup that interrupts your gnp consistently in this situation, or regular transitions as well?
If you're postured up and throwing strikes, the bottom guy would have to block a strike before attempting a transition which should give you ample time to block his transition attempt in turn.
Are you finding that to be the case, but not for the get ups, or not at all?

I'm not positive but will double check tonight. I pretty certain it is just the get up, because I'm pretty sure transitions are interrupted when a strike lands.

GameplayDevUFC,
You guys need to address the Power Takedowns issue. In the game menu, it says that Power takedowns are easier to defend than regular takedowns but this is not true.
The window to stuff power takedowns seems much small than the window to stuff regular ones. Maybe the code got reversed somewhere? Please look into this ASAP.
Lineup:
PG) Gary Payton
SG) '95-'96 Michael Jordan
SF) Sapphire Scottie Pippen
PF) '95-'96 Dennis Rodman
C) Hakeem Olajuwon

How does Chael attempt over 200 takedowns in a fight???? lmaooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo ooooooooo
And yeah the commentary is messed up sometimes after the fight. I've won plenty unanimous decisions even when Rogan says the other guy should win. Don't listen to them. They have no idea what they're talking about lol

Re: EA Sports UFC Available Now, Post Your Impressions
Jose Aldo is no joke....His punches, knees and kicks to the body are like sledge hammers. You will get hurt quick. After playing this game most of the day, I can say the following:
1. Some fighters they got the AI correct 100%
2. Some fighters they got 70% correct
3. Other fighters they got 10% correct to the point you left saying WTF is he doing ?
4. So far I had some good 4 round brawls, had some some 1 round I didn't know they he could hit that hard KOs.
I have yet to have a decision against the CPU though. They really need to tone down the AI aggression level. I also believe a lot of fighters are ranked too high in submission defense and offense. Then there are those whose stand up is too high.
I also believe the take down defense is a tad bit too good for the CPU in the later rounds. I bypassed the career mode and simply bought Gracie and already had the Bruce Lee code. I might try the career mode when I'm extremely bored. For now the exhibition fights are fun enough to keep me occupied.
Overall I would give this game a 6 out of 10.
Reasons being:
1. Some head scratcher AI by some of the fighters
2. Don't like the fact everybody can do every basic move EQUALLY. Everybody shouldn't have the same type of take downs and slams. Everybody shouldn't be able to do reversals and sweeps with ease either.
3. I don't know if it is a bug or what, but the CPU can hold you in a clinch for way too long, regardless of who it is and who you are fighting with. I have had fights where I get stuck in the clinch for a minute and a half. And it just isn't with the thai clinch either, even the over and under hooks the CPU will just hold you and you can't get out of it for a while no matter how many times you press the L3 button.
4. No standing submissions
5. Sluggish controls at a times and some times the wrong strike comes out. There are times I press the buttons to do elbow strikes on the ground from side control or half guard and very weak punches come out instead. Even when you do posture up.
6. I find the CPU don't do ground and pound enough. They just seem happy to sit in full mount.
7. Reversals out of side control and full mount need to go.
8. The stamina issue for the CPU
9. No leg kick TKO
With that said, it is a good base, but with 2 years to work on it, I just expected way more. Fun game though, but with this generation of consoles and all it's horsepower, we need to move way BEYOND just fun. Need to nail it and knock it out of the park. Especially if you expect people to hold on to it for 2 years until the next one comes out.
