A lot of people are complaining about the license, but you all forget that we hold the power in the end. Instead of coming here complaining and then STILL buying the game, how about not giving EA your money? I've been a Madden player since Sega Genesis and would buy the game every year. But in the last 5 yrs, I've only purchased Madden 2010. I've always played a wait and see approach. If there's a continual decrease in revenue, you don't think the NFL and EA will take notice? I understand that some guys only play sports titles and some only play Madden. But there's so many other choices of games from developers who actually put 100% in their product. Destiny comes out a few weeks after Madden. That game looks amazing after playing the Alpha and I already have friends who're skipping Madden because their gonna be playing Destiny so much game. All I'm saying is that if you're happy with Madden, then buy it. But if you're gonna complain and still give them your money, then you're no better than the yearly buyers who cheese online as far as I'm concerned.

I really don't understand when people say they like the direction Madden is heading. People have been saying this for last five years or longer. I think the challenge was to make fun of 2k because they (EA) knows they hold all the cards.PSN ID: KING2812

People really need to move on about this stuff. If you're not a fan of Madden don't play it anymore, vote with your wallet. Me, on the other hand? I'm going to continue to buy Madden because quite frankly in the past 3 years the games have improved a lot and quite frankly I like how it plays.Mets//Jets//Knicks//Islanders//Orange//Dodgers//The U//Fl. "Mike Florio takes a look at the lack of improvements from the Madden video game franchise. Florio rips the idea of promoting a tournament to determine a cover athlete, when the real attention needs to be paid to a mediocre product inside the box."

Re: EA Still Owns the NFL License Exclusively
He said Madden sucks. Has sucked for last 10 years. Said cover vote is stupid because what's in the box is trash. He did research because he had forgotten what had happened and that 2K5 was better than anything Madden has put out even though it came out in 1995 (his words, not mine). Says EA went exclusive rather than making a better product. Problem is no competition. Hopes "the band can get back together" and make 2K5 again.Comment

EA Still Owns the NFL License Exclusively
But not really sure it will..I hope as well..but again I'm not sure..in the mean time it will be spun as he is 2K fan boy..etc..I have learn to deal with Madden being Madden..but any continued positive change for the future is nice..but maybe just maybe with "pro football" writer putting his two cents in it will help us all...have to say I expected a lot more peopling commenting on this..on both sides of the aisle

Re: EA Still Owns the NFL License Exclusively
I've been playing a lot of 2K5 lately, and 2k5 still does Wide Receiver play better than Madden. The way the defensive backs play the Wideouts in 2K is very life like.
Graphically the game looks dated and trust me 2K5 has it's faults but it's ridiculous that it can still hold a candle to Madden 25 despite being separated by 10 years and two generations of consoles.

Wow, so much for that theory that the "simheads" are in the minority, and the general gaming public could care less about all the issues we bring up on here. You have Florio on NBC (national tv) saying Madden sucks, the other game was better, and that EA killed the competition be because they feared that other game .I don't know if you guys follow Pro Football Talk, but Mike Florio just gave his opinion on Madden.

He said exactly what was said here, except he said it on national tv. Did anyone think that would actually happen? That might light a fire under EA's butt.Comment

Re: EA Still Owns the NFL License Exclusively
Wont light a fire, only declining sales will. Lower the sales, more pressure from corporate and NFL to make a better product or license opens up or goes to somebody else.Wow, so much for that theory that the "simheads" are in the minority, and the general gaming public could care less about all the issues we bring up on here. Right now, i believe there may be a declining trend in madden sales annually, but not big enough to make a difference.Comment
