I don't mean to double post, but I can see why stamina is a tricky thing to narrow down. If you can parry someone, they will stay with low stamina and it won't regenerate until they chill out. That leaves an open window to counter and it makes sense.

I think what would help is to really take down hit effectiveness when stamina is very low and also drop long term stamina if you make your guy hang out in that low stamina state.
Being kind, one to another, never disappoints.

I think the easy fix to help stamina is adjust nothing but ONE area.

Have ONLY long term stamina decrease with missed strikes. Leave the current stamina drain how it is base on striking that makes contact (slower drain). Yet whiffed punches, kicks, and highlight moves should drain long term stamina a nice bit.

This would force guys to pick their striking distance better, plus give a strategy to getting in and out of range (making people miss). By the 3rd to 5th rounds with a adjustment like this, I could see some winded fighters, rather than the extremely fresh ones we are dealing with.

This game has been out for 4 days and some people may have gotten it early. But can someone explain to me how there are people on top of the leader board with close to 3,000 matches played???

Ganeplaydev. I know technically this isnt a gameplay question. But if you could at least tell mw if the Devs are aware of some of the issues with Ranked. I can live with the blind picking not knowing who your opponent picked. But why are divisions grouped together. Ww with lw. Mw with lhw. Makes for fights that alot of times arent a level playing field to start.
Then of course the guy getting quit on not getting a win. At least let us see our opponents dnf% prior to fighting then.

Suplexes/slams, spinning back fists, cartwheel kicks should all be rare.

Yea, it can get frustrating. I picked Benson Henderson and fought a guy who had GSP in ranked. He was pretty good and almost every shot rocked me, but I just worked the body and got him to tap in the 3rd. Still kind of frustrating when you pick a Middleweight and have to fight Cromiere.

Just like EA MMA, this game needs more moves. That is what Undisputed 2010 and Undisputed 3 did very well at. They didn't have the unique mannerisms and stance that EA MMA and EA UFC had but with the volume of moves, they were able to create unique fighters with less advanced architecture/technology.

I hope to see this rectified in EA UFC 2. Right now it seems like they are putting out of place moves on some fighters to compensate.

I would agree. I've had a few unranked matches where the standup game looked perfect, we were both moving around making sure we were patient and selective. The game looks beautiful when that's happening.

                      GamePlayDevUFC,

I know this has been asked, but I am not sure I have seen a response.

What is the point of Leg Kicks if we cannot TKO the opponent? When I play Online I will get the other fighters Leg blinking red, but he can still throw kicks as if nothing is happening. Can you please explain what happens when the leg is damaged? Thanks!

                        Nothing other than slowed movement.

I also think there is a temporary inability to throw kicks if they are in a leg health event. But I havent really seen to many leg health events on my end, so I don't know if you can still throw kicks or not. And aside from phobia I havent played a ton of kickers.

Freaking hilarious I play as Bisping against Vitor and I get dropped twice in the first round but I'm working Bisping's game I'm moving a ton of mostly throwing jabs. Mixing in some leg kicks here and there and a few combos but nothing major. Second round comes along and I'm really doing well and I drop Vitor in one of the few exchanges I commit to. I get on top land two punches and fight is over.

The game might not be totally realistic or sim but it's definitely got some fun to it. I hope EA can continue to tweak it and maybe find a way to give everyone what they want.

Yeah I don't think they can throw kicks but the fact that after it stops blinking they're completely fine again is dumb. I understand the head regeneration because it is possible to clear your head but if you're landing major leg kicks like that it's just not going to get better.

Re: EA Sports UFC Available Now, Post Your Impressions

So I been playing around with all the difficulty settings yesterday. To me normal difficulty has the least amount of CPU AI BS. I also noticed fighters fight much closer to their real life counter parts on that difficulty setting as well. Where as on Pro and Hard every CPU AI pretty much fought the same, head hunting.

I fought against the weakest person in each division and they fought like the champion of the divisions. Doing stuff way above their skill level of what their ratings listed them as. Fought against them again at normal and they fought like they suppose to, like the scrubs of the division.

Then I fought against all the submission guys. On Pro and Hard, they never looked to take me down at all. Instead they were just head hunting. On normal, they looked to take me down 4 to 6 times in the 1st round and actually attempted submission moves.

And finally, I noticed on normal strikes do way more damage and the recovery time from those strikes are not as fast for the CPU like it was on Pro and Hard. For example, on normal a liver shot is a long health state damage that last a good 30 seconds of them moving in pain holding their liver. On Pro and Hard, the damage last 3 seconds and they instantly recover. Jab strikes play more of a factor in fights on normal as well because hey they actually do damage. Which was nice to see.

I also noticed more cuts on normal. Which is probably because strikes do more damage on this setting and the AI don't recover as fast. The amount of flashy moves is severely toned down as well on Normal. The CPU AI sway more then they block too, which is nice. When I played on Pro and Hard, they simply just blocked and parried, but they blocked way more then they parried.

Leg kicks actually slows them down too and they are quicker to change their stance to protect it and back up off of you. Where as on Pro and Hard they would just check it while constantly plodding forward.

So to me anyway, Normal gives you a more strategic AI. Pro and Hard gives you nothing but a head hunter always plodding forward looking to throw nothing but flashy moves type of AI.
