EA Sports UFC Available Now, Post Your Impressions -
Operation Sports Forums
The upgrade is complete, but you've probably noticed the forums are only showing posts up to about April 8. Posts made after that are still in the process of being moved over, and that should take another week or two. Feel free to start a new thread.
The site might feel a little slow while work continues. Engineers are staying on it through the night to get things moving faster again. Thanks for your patience.

I'm still shocked about this split decision loss
It's because he had more ground passes. After playing over 90 online ranked matches, I've noticed this as well. If you control your opponent on the ground and get more dominant positions, you are almost guaranteed to win the decision.
This game favors ground control HEAVILY. It's kind of realistic because judges in real life favor wrestling heavily over everything else.
Lineup:
PG) Gary Payton
SG) '95-'96 Michael Jordan
SF) Sapphire Scottie Pippen
PF) '95-'96 Dennis Rodman
C) Hakeem Olajuwon

No offense but you really can't tell who won a fight just by looking at the final stats. The fights aren't judged overall, they're scored by who wins each round.

Can you shed some light on the judging criteria and how fights are scored?
A lot of people have been asking, so I could look into it next week. Part of me think that it would add to the realism of the game to keep it a bit of a mystery.

I pretty much agree with this. It might sound crazy but I like that the judging is a little unpredictable. I have had mostly good decisions and a couple close ones and it honestly is a little exciting to me not to know for sure on the close ones.

GMSS, Aholbert, or anyone with insight, what are some house rules you recommend for playing on Normal? I tried out normal, after playing pretty much only on Hard, and I can say the CPU seems to fight a little better and the match felt a little more realistic for sure. I also enjoyed being able to go the ground without an insta sweep/reversal coming at me. If only I could combine elements from hard and normal together for the perfect gameplay experience for me, oh well, hopefully the next game has sliders.
Do you guys find yourselves still losing to the CPU on normal? Thanks for any input on house rules, I was thinking maybe a takedown/haymaker (strike modifier attacker) limit per round or something like that.

I still lose on normal in Career Mode.
I just had a very very fun and actually pretty back and forth battle against JDS with me using Roy Nelson on Normal. I won a split decision and the fight could have gone either way.
