Do Fighters Retire in Career mode

I just beat Chael Sonnen for the LW belt and I noticed he is 43. Has anyone seen fighters retire or at least their skills diminish as the years go by?

They will retire and disappear from the career mode. Most guys last through their early 40s.

I assume retirement is based off of how much damage the fighter (including your own) takes.

Yeah I noticed they just disappear it would be nice if the commentary reflected the age of the fighters.

I fought Hendo for LHW title at 50 and 51. Sheesh.

He was a KO specialist and knocked me tfo in our first match.

It's just stupid how old most of the fighters get and still keep their ratings.

better than fighting randomly generated champions!

The solution would be to allow you to progress faster. How many years did it take Chris Weidman?

March 3 2011 UFC debut, wins Middleweight Belt in July 2013.

A way to make career faster would be to a) rack up 8-10 fights in a feeder league before making the debut and fighting all the real guys.
            b) warping reality for your fighter by allowing him to fight 5-7 times a year in the UFC.

I do think having 6win minimum before coming in would help. Also progression should be more subtle, and I think you should start off knowing a lot of moves and be a badass already, and tweak it from there rather than have 50 block, 50 power etc... which is such BS.

Just my 2 cents, don't have the game (yet) (maybe)
Liquor in the front, poker in the rear.
