Extreme Warfare Revenge (EWR) 2004: great game
I traded in my Xbox and all of my Xbox games so I can get a PS4. One of the downsides of that is the fact that I won't be able to play a console wrestling game until October when WWE 2K15 comes out. Out of curiosity, I downloaded EWR 2004, a game I used to play for hours on end. It's a great game, you get to manage a wrestling company (choices include WWE, TNA, ROH, and several small companies) and book shows, get TV deals and sign wrestlers.

The best way to play in my opinion is to create your own fed with 0s in everything and no money to start with and go from there. You can get about $40k a month, so that's your budget to try and raise Production Values and get your talent. It's a small pool of wrestlers you can stick with, but boy is it rewarding to see your own production go through.NFL: Houston Texans / Carolina Panthers

Re: Extreme Warfare Revenge (EWR) 2004: great game
I love this game. I started a new save with default (2003) rosters, playing as ROH. Raven was my #1 star, and I was going to have him feud with Steve Corino. Well, WWE decided to troll and sign Raven to a written contract. Not only that, they signed CM Punk (someone I was planning on pushing to the moon) to a written contract.Spoiler
So, I decided to try and land some bigger names to alleviate these losses. I signed Tito Ortiz (in 2003 he was quite famous, he's an upper-mid carder) Harry Smith (aka DH Smith in WWE, he's a big name in EWR due to Canadian success) and Matt Morgan.
I landed a TV deal with the Regional Network and sent out promo tapes to the local network, hoping for a B show.Ravens: In Ozzie We Trust

Re: Extreme Warfare Revenge (EWR) 2004: great game
Oh man, I put so much of my time into this game since its release. I ran EWInventory, a resource similar to EWWarehouse, with ACCBiggz/Nathan for what seemed like forever. EWBattleground was my stomping grounds back in the early 2000's, and I clearly remember the EWR and Promotion Wars pride battles... eerily similar to those of the 2K and EA guys these days. I've played since the original EW, and Ryland just continually got better.
I may have to pick this back up, especially if TEW 2005 is freeware now. I purchased it (as well as 2007, 2008 and 2010 if I remember correctly), but that license key is long gone by now. I hardly played 2010.Comment

Re: Extreme Warfare Revenge (EWR) 2004: great game
I was always partial to EWD, as it was simple enough to pick up and play, even if it was graphically clunky compared to EWR.Oh man, I put so much of my time into this game since its release. 2 questions...
1) Any idea how to get EWD to work on Windows 8? (I have the game downloaded, but can't get it to run with or without DosBox.)
2) Do you know of any Mods for EWD?
Thank You!

Re: Extreme Warfare Revenge (EWR) 2004: great game
Default rosters (~2004) , started one as WWE.
Summerslam results:
World's Greatest Tag Team (Charlie Haas and Shelton Benjamin) defeated the Basham Brothers to win the WWE Tag Team Championships.
Test beat Rikishi (c) by countout in a match for Rikishi's United States Championship. Rikishi retains the championship.
Tajiri (c) retained his Cruiserweight Championship by defeating Ultimo Dragon.
Goldberg defeated the Big Show.
Eddie Guerrero defeated Randy Orton.
The Rock defeated Kane.
Undertaker defeated John Cena
Triple H (c) retained his World Heavyweight Championship in a match against Shawn Michaels due to the interference of Ric Flair.
Brock Lesnar (c) retained his WWE Championship by defeating Kurt Angle.
Feuds:
WWE Champion Brock Lesnar vs Kurt Angle (Smackdown)
John Cena (turned heel) vs. Undertaker (Smackdown)
World Heavyweight Champion Triple H vs Shawn Michaels (Raw)
The Rock vs. Kane (Raw)
Eddie Guerrero vs. Randy Orton (Raw)
Goldberg vs. Big Show (Smackdown)
Ultimo Dragon vs Cruiserweight Champion Tajiri (Smackdown)
United States Champion Rikishi vs. Test Smackdown)
Big Show hurt his ankle, and is out for a month, delaying his feud with Goldberg.
I signed CM Punk and the Briscoe Brothers to written contracts and sent them to development, WWE style lol.
I also signed Sting, who is basically a third wheel in the Rock/Kane feud at this point.
I stripped Ric Flair and Batista of the World Tag Team Championship, as any team I tried to have them lose it, they refused. I gave the titles to La Rsistance (Rene Dupree and Sylvan Grenier) as they beat the Bashams and Nowinski and Mack in a triple threat tag team match for the titles.
Eddie Guerrero cost Randy Orton his Intercontinental Championship in a match against Bubba Ray Dudley. Dudley is set to defend the title against William Regal.
Goldberg cost Big Show his United States Championship in a match against Rikishi. Rikishi is feuding with Test.
I'm currently at September 1st, and our next PPV (Unforgiven) isn't until September 28th. I have three TV shows, Raw, Smackdown and the minor show Heat.Ravens: In Ozzie We Trust
