Re: Crackdown for Xbox One
Really enjoyed the 1st Crackdown, played it all the way through. The second one though, I think I only played for a couple of hours before shelving it. Here's to hoping this one lives up to the 1st one and adds some innovation to it's story/gameplay.Comment

Agreed. They've put it back into the hands of the guy who worked with the first one so we'll see.Comment

Re: Crackdown for Xbox One
Gamesradar
So, Crackdown 3 might be the most impressive demo I've ever seen. We'll have a full preview up later today, but suffice it to say that all that bluster about "leveraging the Cloud" to bring hitherto unseen levels of physics-based destruction is totally accurate.
There’s an offline single-player campaign, a four-player co-op campaign, and competitive multiplayer. The latter we saw nothing of but there’s a bigger distinction between the online and offline modes than you might think, as it’s only the online mode that features the 100 per cent destruction effects. It was only the first proper day of Gamescom today, but Crackdown 3 was easily the most impressive thing we saw – and that included a hands-off demo of Fallout 4 and the destruction-filled Just Cause 3 (we’ll write those previews up later).
IGN demo:
Crackdown creator Dave Jones takes us through the technical aspects of Crackdown 3 and lets us get some hands on time blowing things up.

Re: Crackdown for Xbox One
This often delayed title is out and the reviews are horrendous.
I never played part 2, but I played the first one and I'm playing the new one.
If you liked Crackdown 1, I can't see how you wouldn't like 3. Reviewers want every game to be an open world Academy Award winning game. It isn't. And that's okay.
It's fun and that's most important.

Re: Crackdown for Xbox One
Yeah, the first was one of my favorite games, and aide from some clunkiness what I've played of this has been awesome.
Not sure I'd recommend anyone go but it with it being on game pass though.

Re: Crackdown for Xbox One
That said, it's exactly what you should expect if you played and enjoyed the first one.

Re: Crackdown for Xbox One
First crackdown I have ever played and it’s awful to me. Not very constructive I know , but the movement is archaic and it’s absolutely no fun at all to me with the 3 hours I have it. Just not for me
