Re: EA Sports UFC Available Now, Post Your Impressions
Another FYI for everyone here.
Wins/losses are now being handed out for matches where a player quits out.

Welcome to EA Forums, where you can chat about games with other players, help each other out, share feedback, and report issues you’re having with EA games.
Looks like someone was working late last night.
I had 5 str8 quitters last night... I received no wins.

EA Sports UFC Available Now, Post Your Impressions
So... Lost 4 in a row last night. All in the first round and all within 1 min.
Every single one was a result of body shot spamming.
How... HOW ... Does a fighter throw 66 body shots without a penalty... In concession?
You eventually can't block, sway or MOVE at all... Just stand there.
This game is so pathetic on just about every level. EVERY SINGLE POWER AND SIGNATURE STRIKE should cost stamina especially when u miss 7-8 in a row.
How does that even become a viable option. For every tiny bit of positive things in this game... There are dozens of lazy, poor and just plain stupid things that trump any positive.
This game is solely for little kids and arcade casuals who know nothing about MMA and just want to play street fighter.
And don't get me started on the half azz career mode. MMAi eh? Yeah that just a bogus back of the box lie... EVERY SINGLE FIGHTER fights the same and has all the same moves. BJJ, WRESTLER, BOXER? Yeah they are all the exact same.
Want a moderately entertaining career? Stop adding points to your guy after he hits 79-80... Gimp yourself for a challenge. So lame.
I'm done...

Saint I fought a guy using GSP who who would throw like 4-5 mod body shots in a row. Pause 2 secs then throw 8 front kicks. Fresh as a daisy the whole time. This game is whack. The ground game with all its gay *** reversals. Ya im bored with this game already. Waste of 60 bucksComment

Re: EA Sports UFC Available Now, Post Your Impressions
I've only played online. 200+ fights I'm still having a blast. I finally won my 1st brown belt a couple of days ago. I'm pretty decent on purple, but after I reach brown I usually get out pointed to decisions. Ugh
My takedown defense has gotten better, I just wish there was a better way to counter them. Sometimes I get a lucky knee, jab or kick in to stop them, but if there was a way to flash KO ppl with a perfectly timed knee as they shot in that would do wonders.
Spammers: For the most part I destroy these guys with counters or just blocking until their energy gets low then unloading a barrage of punches, every now and then though I'll get caught slipping and lose to one of these guys.
Overall IMO the game is still a must buy for any mma fan. No other game makes me stand up fist pump and or scream after winning. (Especially after a couple drinks)
I still find it funny people are complaining about quitters. After 200 fights only 1 guy has quit on me. Then again I haven't played in the blue or white belt division
Since after release day.Psn: Plex-07Comment

The reward in beating the punch/kick spammer is evading and countering, but I agree about the ability to throw all these heavy shots and have little stamina drain.
Once again, the game is FNC 2.0. This is the exact problem that game faced. The only time you see significant stamina drain is when you make them miss. Guys are throwing so modified punches and receive the same amount of stamina drain than when I sway and juke to avoid.Being kind, one to another, never disappoints.Comment

While the body kick spam is annoying, it is far from devastating. If you use strong blocks which negate 100% of the damage combined with dodges and parries you can get their stamina bottomed out. Then it is a up hill battle for them if you know how to keep the pressure on so they can't build it back up.
Fly in with your own attack then start with a methodical jab, straight, then hook to the body to keep their hands up and dropping their stmaina. At this point they will be reeling with back towards cage, cut the ring off, and continue to unload. If you happen to have a guy good on the ground or submissions then shoot for the take down and continue the assault.
The biggest mistake people try and do is brawl with these guys. Cover up, strong block the body shots, attempt the parries, and let them throw until their temp stamina is empty. Now unleash hell on themComment

That is my current strategy. I am learning that if you have high stamina, and theirs is bottomed out, your success in subbing them is high.
If they can patch long term stamina, that is how much stamina is taken throughout the fight, the system they have will be very rewarding to those that choose patience over continuous mod strikes.Last edited by DaveDQ; 06-30-2014, 10:38 AM.Being kind, one to another, never disappoints.Comment

Re: EA Sports UFC Available Now, Post Your Impressions
Long term stamina is absolutely broken Temp stamina kinda is too. It recovers to quickly, Whiffed or parried power strikes should take a quarter bar of temp stamina, especially crazy stikes like Cartwheel and Tornado Kicks. Modified strikes, should also cost permanent stamina especially when whiffed or parried. Ground transitions should be slower, and if you are out of stamina, you should have a hald second to a second cool out period before being able to attempt another, if you are full stamina, that is on thing, but it is anog as hell when someone has someone with lightning ground transitions speed, and they are completely gassed, that I can't transition or attempt a submission between their frantic transitions. That is something THQ got right, when you were gassed, it was hard as hell to move, and your transitions would slow down, making them easier to reverse, or just be too slow to register, and then if you were gassed, you did not want to be caught in a submission because your bar would move so slow and it would be very hard to escape.Comment

Perma/regenerating stamina is a very delicate balance that the devs of Fight Night could never get just right. It was always one extreme to the other and they would neglect to adjust the A.I. behaviors as well.Comment
