The question of "where the f____ is custom walk up music, a feature you've had in for multiple releases?" Then when the developer responds, at least it is on the record. Instead, the game's media did not even broach the subject. I've listened to the OS podcast and they have done whole podcasts on this game and didn't even touch on this. This is part of the problem, these guys have access to the developers and don't ask these questions? And then you act like the developers are now absolved of this? No wonder this feature just covertly disappeared without a peep. We get the games we deserve, if you enjoy this game without it, enjoy it. I won't be, and as for mp3 playback, I don't care what medium they use, we were promised feature parity and did not get it. If they had said "while no mp3 playback is available, you can still get sounds of the show by using our new service ____" I wouldn't have celebrated, but at least I would have the option to purchase a service for walk up music etc.

I don't think you are understanding who is responsible for what. It doesn't get asked or answered because the developer of the game, SCEA, has no power over the feature being functional with mp3's not being allowed on the console, PS4 by Sony, and most people know this and are waiting for Sony to make the necessary changes first.

Once Sony comes out with an announcement or firmware update for the system itself then I am sure there will be more light shed on the topic. Until then there is nothing that anyone can really do or say because nobody here talks to the heads at Sony. So, if you really want to get anywhere then I would take to the social media outlets and let fine folk over at Sony know that you want your custom music options and feature parity on their latest console. But there isn't much anyone that comes here or works here can do for this situation, unfortunately.

The sounds of the show that are in the game does not work at all when assigned the music to the players. Hell, I would be somewhat satisfied if that was working properly.

Yeah, that is a different issue altogether. That probably hasn't been addressed due the probability that not many people care to have the songs that are already in the game used as their SOTS songs. I said before that my fear would be that Sony finally updates the system to allow custom music and then the game won't have it working properly anyway. I hope there is some light shed on that aspect with the next patch, but it remains to be seen.

It's hilarious how ridiculous how some of you are acting. SOTS, while I love them, is hardly a game breaker if they're excluded. That being said, it's not even SCEA's fault for them not being supported...THE PS4 DOESN'T SUPPORT MP3's RIGHT NOW! It's not the developer's fault, it's the parent company's fault.

It's also laughable comparing SCEA to EA with regards to accountability. Tell me, how often do you see EA developers on these very boards after their game drops? **crickets** At least Russell and SCEA listen and give us the tools to report bugs and glitches. Are they on here as much as they are before MLB drops, no. But, marketing and maintaining a community are two different things.

I mean, c'mon guys, that's like comparing a Pinto to a Ferrari...

People have different opinion on the SOTS issue. For example, i haven't bought the game because SOTS makes this game more realistic and enjoyable to play. And from the looks of it, it seems that some people who have posted here feel the same way as well.

Yeah man, I put in over 200 songs and editing them into three separate clips. Playing the show with all that work with SOTS made the game even greater, and now the show is still great but Sony really screwed us and The Show. It really takes away a lot from the game.

I don't think we will be able to see SOTS actually work until Mlb15 the show. Even then, we will have to probably use whatever songs SCEA puts on the game. I just think this year SCEA focused too much on the little details. Would you rather have SOTS working or have a fan take out their fake phone and pop during the game?

All of the apologists here are laughable. This is one of Sony's best games and they covertly removed a feature that greatly enhanced the game. MP3 is irrelevant, the sounds of the show aren't in there, and if Sony decided to remove MP3, then it is up to them to decide how to support this feature through other avenues whether it is their streaming service, etc. My point (again as some of the defense force can't seem to comprehend) is that the gaming media is at fault for not posing this question to them to get a solid answer as to why this was not attempted at all, and the platform holder/developer has been let off the hook as the question was never even posed. We saw the same thing happen with Madden, the gaming media acted like EA's propaganda arm as they begin the slow death of football gaming. Finally, if you don't care about this feature, that's fine, but staying on topic this is a thread about a feature that is not on the next gen version even though it has been a part of the game for the last 5 years thereabouts.

SCEA San Diego does not control what features the PS4 can and cannot do. The "gaming media" does not have some sort of omnipresent power over Sony either.

I think what hes saying though is that he feels SCEA couldve figured out a way to make SOTS with music unlimited work. Or explored another option. Thats what I feel like hes holding SCEA responsible for. I dunno thats what it seems like hes getting at.

Honestly it is what it is for this year. I am still waiting and hoping for this year but if it doesnt happen this year I really hope it happens next year in some way.

Considering they left in the front end menu for Sounds of the Show.....wouldn't you rather say they OVERTLY left it in? (rather than saying they covertly removed it....which is obvious that they didn't or they would have removed the menu option)
("perhaps" in the hopes that parent Sony would introduce the mp3 integration thereby enabling the ability to restore Sounds of the Show to the game)
1- If they were going to remove it from the game...it would have been removed from all versions and taken off the front end
2- I seriously doubt they would remove an option that they worked hard on AND are very happy with from the game.
3- If they did...they would just say it was removed for good.

I know this is probably wishfull thinking but I keep telling myself that the reason we havent seen a big patch yet is because SCEA knows an mp3 firmware update is near and that they are waiting for that to happen so they can patch in SOTS with the rest of the stuff they fix.

I know im reaching but it helps me sleep at night lol.

Right now I'm still waiting for the show to fix the lineup bug and the camera bug, but the mp3 updates are for more important for us, The Show and Sony.
