The real find in the article is the comment section. A lot of Madden bashing on there. So I guess even on a non video game site people complain about madden.

EDIT: Actually, unless I'm reading the article wrong, EA hasn't said anything. The article states that the Jaguars asked their fans what they would like for EA to correct.

It's been stated before somewhere that they don't have the tech for their new font.

Also mentioned that the jaguars complained about low attendance in the game at their home games and that's the reason dynamic attendance was removed.

I don't know why some people have this delusion that the only people upset about this game are on this website. Go on a maddden 15 video on youtube and you'll find way harsher things said than on here (probably because you can't get banned on there for it )

I agree. That's why I brought it up. People think we're too critical on here. For the most part we're pretty civilized compared to other comment sections.

Wow, really? How on earth do they handle fonts then? In every other sports game I've ever looked into number fonts are just a file where an artist draws each number (0-9). When in-game the engine will then take that file and render players' numbers on the front/back of their jerseys.

I have no idea how fonts are a technical issue.

EDIT: I see what the problem is -- due to the way the Vikings number fonts work, the first number always has something resembling "viking horns" on them whereas the second number never does. So they'd have to make two sets of fonts.

Now the question is what's stopping them from doing that?

I didn't read anything in that article that mentioned EA fixing anything; just another disgruntled fanbase lamenting the fact that EA gives them the shaft year after year.

Misleading thread title to say the least.

I wouldn't have posted this if it was a maybe. I hadn't had time to finish posting this. I followed up on the article with Jags media manager earlier to make sure on this.
