That video looked like the same old interactions, just with a new camera angle and a new button layout.

There's still not much leaning, dipping, or any kind of moving struggle between players. It's just two guys standing straight up, completely stationary, hand-fighting with each other until an over-the-top "win" animation plays out, and the offensive linemen gets thrown to the ground like a used towel.

Which is going to probably turn some leagues off to it. Shame And hence you'll still be regulated to controlling 2nd and 3rd level defenders.

For me this game will be truly next gen when they gut all of the last gen and legacy animations out and replace them with new stuff. When Madden 2001 for PS2 dropped there was nothing on field that resembled PS1. I need that feeling back.

I can see this being abused online or in franchise. I had 34 sacks in my franchise with Ahmad Brooks because nobody blocks the LE ever.

From what I've heard from the devs, Sim, Smitty, and Markus, they are adding new animations each year until the old ones are almost completely gone. They added new ones last year and added a ton this year for defense and catch animations. Rex talked last year how he wants to get animations to a 90 quality level.

What I'd like to see this team do more, as well as marketing, is show examples of how the game has improved over last year with footage. Like set up situations and say this is how it worked/looked in Madden 25, this is how it looks/works in Madden 15. It would certainly help us see the differences better. For me that is always the best marketing.

It's such an eye soar watching the QB drop backs....mind as well give them roller blades. If they'd overhaul the player movement, then we'd be in business...but, that aint happening.

This. Thought I was the only one who noticed. Also was not a fan of the Drew Brees pass -- confirmed that sig QB animations are on the back burner another year. I can't jump back in til those are addressed...not when other sports games overwhelm you with signature anims.

This is really cool and all but what I'm really hoping for is the cpu controlled players on my team utilizing these moves on a regular basis. I really don't wanna see Clay Matthews playing patty cake at the line for three plays straight because I wasn't controlling him.

If they can manage to that this will be a major improvement.

Playing Dline is already OP in madden 25. now they just made it more cheese and stupid. Sim game players are going to have to have rules against using dline to even make this fair.

Honestly man I applaud your enthusiasm, but hearing a 3 yr or I have to wait for all the changes 2 years from now is something I don't want to hear before the newest madden is even out. I cant go tell my boss tomorrow, u know wait 2 years from now I'll have it down. It doesn't cut the mustard, if there was another game in town there knees would be knocking. I'm not saying this to be negative or anything I actually really liked last years and thought it was the best in quite some time. I am excited for this years just due to the graphics, pres, & lighting effects, besides that it won't be much different. I have just been a disappointed customer yr in an yr out and just also say well its madden again, it is what it is. When will this game be ground breaking and know that this the best football series ever? Baseball- The show Basketball- NBA 2K Now those companies blew up the genre of sports games. I'm sad to say madden never will.

They haven't worked on the tackling in forever it seems, the same boring tackles over and over, needs work. I never watch real football and say, hey I seen that in Madden! Its why isn't that in madden and wish it was in madden.
Its time to get things right and stop saying next yr next yr.

The best part of all of this is going to be the ability to steer the o-lineman into holes or outside to hold an edge in the running game or qb containment. I just hope its not gonna be overpowered one way or another.


Anybody notice the lack of the 3d grass in those screen shots? Have they finally given up on the grass pitch? lol
