It should be the "Cena wins lol" game mode and can be exactly like the streak mode from this year's game. You'll be raging every time Cena kicks out at 2 after your finisher in "Defeat the Super Cena", or better yet he completely vanishes and reappears with 3 finishers exclaiming that 'you can't see him'.
That's not an insult, THAT is just a fact of life.

This has probably been answered. But it takes these guys on websites an hour to create pretty detailed CAWs. Why is there an issue adding a guy last minute for THQ in the past and 2K now. I'm not bashing the developers just don't know why it seems like there is a cut off well before release.

Note: I understand developers add more than just the wrestler and they add commentary with the name plus entrances, ect.

We don't know that 2K can do yet. Last year's game was a THQ/Yukes game with 2K's name on it.

2K has extended the cutoff date that THQ set for Wrestlemania. They could have potentially extended it to a month or two before the game is released.

There was a rumor that 2K was going to have something similar to weekly updates.

The biggest difference is that the developers have to build each part of the superstar separately like the boots, shorts and shirts. We don't have to do that.

Since you brought up the roster cut off date, I have another serious question.

Since we haven't seen CM Punk since the Royal Rumble, and his WWE contract has officially expired. Will we have to rely on CM Punk CAWs to play as Punk or will he still be in the game?

I'm guessing no since if the roster cut off date is later, and he hasn't been seen since January, I guess not but just curious. Maybe his character can be moved to being a locked character that you earn through career mode or something.

I would assume he won't be in the game unless the WWE reaches some type of agreement with him.

I'd bet on Punk not being in the game; but despite all the reports we really have no idea what the feelings are between him and WWE.

If WWE wants him in and Punk wants the royalty checks, who knows?

I'd say the only way he gets in is if they come to a deal. Despite what the guy did and for the brief time I got to actually see him (few months) I liked him so if he's in great, if not oh well.

Re: WWE 2K15: First Details Emerge About New-Gen Debut

I hear that Universe Mode has all but been confirmed because it's mentioned in the product details of the strategy guide on Gamestop's website:

"In-depth look at creating your own WWE Universe, complete with tournaments, rivalries, and more.
Tips and tricks for getting the most out of your own custom Superstar or Diva.
                  Collect all Achievements and Trophies.
This WWE 2K15 strategy guide receives our signature series treatment, featuring a premium cover, making this a must have for any WWE fan!"

I really hope that's the case. I traded in my Xbox and all of its games so I could get a PS4 (something I'm regretting. I wish I kept the Xbox because I miss playing WWE and NCAA.)

Anyway, I'm so psyched for this game. I don't currently have a console wrestling game, so I know that I am going to play this game a lot. I know the graphics will be awesome because it's next-gen. I know 2K is actually going to put its stamp on the game this year, rather than just releasing THQ's product for the most part last year. I really just want to about Universe Mode. I'll buy the game regardless, but Universe Mode will make or break my experience with the game. I hope they either made the rivalry maker much better (it was so redundant and glitchy in 2K14; every week, the participants would face in Extreme Rules/submission matches, for every rivalry. I'd love it if the game-makers watched WWE programming and saw how WWE builds rivalries, and even somewhat incorporated that into the game.

Or at least how WWE is supposed to build them ha. No, seriously I agree with you about the Universe mode. As much as I'd like to have a 2k style career mode in the game, if there is a great way to build my own universe and it has a large number of angles and feud possibilities, I'll be thrilled. The idea that they want this to be a true wrestling game and not a fighting game featuring wrestlers might just be marketing speak, but I hope it shows in the game.

Summerslam is the 17th right? So that's par for the course.

They have always done the roster reveal the day before Summerslam at least since Smackdown vs Raw 2011

Some more details. WWE has announced a series of superstar panels that will replace Axxess, but also a special host for the Roster Reveal.

Stone Cold Steve Austin will host the Roster Reveal of the 2K15 Roster.

I wonder if they will stream it live on WWE Network.

Also seeing DX together in that makes me start wondering if it is possible that we will see the Monday Night Wars theme for the game.

I would assume we will know some details about the theme that night or can make a good assumption based on the roster.
