I'd be disapointed not mad. I think I would be... Especially because I really woudn't have expected it at all. It kinda came out of nowhere. We all expected them to opt out but I personnally was almost sure it was to free up cap space.Comment

Re: LeBron James: I'm coming back to Cleveland (OFFICIAL)
Seems he is already ahead of that. He will run that place and get whatever he wants or he will jet again. My thing is when you go to college and finish your 4 or so years you don't go back home. You go into the world as the new adult that you are and figure stuff out on your own even if it isn't the most comfortable. It's like the movie baby boy which I assume LeBron has never seen.. You grow up and leave the nest, you dont grow up and run right back to the nest when things get a bit tough. smh
I remember reading an article in 2010 when LeBron was with the Heat saying there was a possibilty of him leaving because Pat and the rest of the organization held him accountable. He isn't held to those standards in Cleveland and enjoys it imo.Comment

Re: LeBron James: I'm coming back to Cleveland (OFFICIAL)
Since when have Mike Miller and Ray Allen been "Heat players". They both joined because of LeBron in the first place. Miller was gone, Ray was considering retiring or verbally admitting to following in LeBron. Those guys weren't stolen from Miami, they weren't going to be there anyways.
James Jones without LeBron would have went back to his 12-13th man role and only play in 20-30 games for 5 minutes per.
You act like the guy was just stealing away franchise pieces, he didn't take Haslem and Wade with him.

Re: LeBron James: I'm coming back to Cleveland (OFFICIAL)
Of course im upset not bitter the best player in the league just left my team. LeBron has been my favorite player since 2006 so idk how I sound uneducated. I have seen most if not all of his games since arrving in the league. I was obviously just joking with the anology that I used about baby boy and college, but no need to call me uneducated because i'm upset that the best player left my team..Last edited by d23x; 07-17-2014, 02:37 PM.Comment

Re: LeBron James: I'm coming back to Cleveland (OFFICIAL)
Personally I always had a feeling that Lebron was going to go back to Cleveland at some point, but I thought he'd give the Heat around 2 more years. That being said, as a Heat fan, I have no anger towards Lebron especially after 4 straight years of NBA Finals and an insane amount of entertainment. Being able to watch one of the best to ever play the game night in and night out on my team is one of those sports memories that stick around forever.Comment

Very happy LeBron brought the team two titles, but he is the best player in the world. Who wouldn't be upset about him leaving their team? I'd say you would have to be an idiot to act like it's no big deal.Comment

A bit much to call you uneducated for sure, but if you were basing your opinion from the perspective of James, then what you posted would definitely make it seem you don't really get where he's coming from with some things. If you just posted it bc you're mad he left... well you're going to get hammered around here for that bc most try to come here to get away from those reactionary, super fanboy type of discussions.Comment

Or people were mad at the pre-planned nature of the way they left. But I guess if this suits the narrative better let's roll with that.

I think the comments toward you aren't really bc you're mad (pick whichever word you want) about him leaving, but the assumptions of why he left, who he "stole" to go with him, etc, etc. How you feel and what happened are two different things.

I'm not bitter and I actually hope LeBron does well with the Cavaliers. I am truly grateful that I was able to see him play twice at AAA in my lifetime. It just sucks to know when I turn on sun sports or go to another game there will be no more #6 LeBron James in the lineup. Did I expect LeBron to retire with the Heat? no.. Just a few more years of greatness wouldn't have hurt.Comment

Re: LeBron James: I'm coming back to Cleveland (OFFICIAL)
I'm not writing what I have said from a LeBron perspective, I am writing it because from what I have read and seen so far leads me to believe some truth to the actions. Like I said LeBron wouldn't meet with Pat after the finals but met with Gilbert for 4 hours giving Pat only an hour then announcing his decision. Taking a trip with Jones and Allen after the finals and those are the two in collaboration with the Cavs if Allen doesn't retire. Yes, I am speaking a bit from disappointment but the other stuff I have stated has happend.

I do think that had Wade and Bosh shown up in the Finals, Lebron would have resigned for 2 more years before leaving for Cleveland but that doesn't really matter at this point. As pointed out in an ESPN article, whose author escapes me at the moment, while going to Cleveland may not result in a title right away that roster is set up to contend for possibly the next 7 or 8 years with Irving being only 22, Wiggins only 19. Potentially add in a 25 year old Kevin Love, who's game isn't predicated on athleticism, and Lebron could still be chasing titles at 38.Comment

Well I am hoping Wade will go get his knee surgery in Germany ala Kobe so we can see more of this next year. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=A9Dg...KfSfAqD6Cpe8PAComment
