More than i thought they did. I usually skip that stuff so i didnt notice.

They catered to you then LOL. But that is unlike SCEA. They usually leave in the little things. It is what gives this game it's undeniable charm.

X button is your friend. But some of us love to take it all in and have the option to speed along when we want. I hope they bring back the 'little things" like mentioned above that make this baseball game so great year after year.

Don't get me wrong. 14 is by far my favorite version. I just want it all. :wink:

I agree. The sooner they drop support for PS3 the sooner that kind of stuff will come back i think. They can still do it while making a PS3 version. Just feel like we wont get an MLB The Show that takes full advantage of the PS4 until they do.

Played a game last night and today and I'm psyched that the custom camera held, but I don't hear organ music. Played at Citi Field and then Wrigley, didn't hear it at all. Sound is up, settings are at full, but nada. Weird.

What about the double play take out slide glitch? Does the runner headed to 1st still slide into the bag everytime?

That's not a glitch. When hitting into a double play you are actually controlling the runner going to first rather than the runner headed to second. So when you move the stick to slide (thinking you are the runner going to 2B) that's why the runner headed to first slides when it's close. Don't move the stick and the runner won't slide into 1B.

I still saw this in my saved Franchise game.

But could it be because I was playing in a game that I saved from last night?

Just hit a home run with Daric Barton of the A's on a franchise started today post-patch and it said first career home-run, so apparently this was not fixed.

This patch really didn't hit any of the big things I was looking for. I was sort of underwhelmed when I saw the notes...

Just fired up the PS4 for the first time today and my custom pitching camera DID NOT HAVE TO BE RE-MADE. Love that custom cameras are actually saving now.

I did notice one minor glitch that I've never seen before. Angels (me) vs. Yankees (CPU) at Yankee Stadium, Quick Counts On: Josh Hamilton was at bat but the scoreboard showed Mike Trout, but on the next pitch the scoreboard switched to Hamilton. What's even weirder is that Pujols bats between those two, so it's not like it got stuck or anything. Weird.

No, this has been in there before the patch. The game has a bit of a lag in that it will usually require one pitch to the new batter before swapping out the video scoreboard picture of the previous batter.

In RTTS, infielders can get stuck prior to the pitch not allowing you to shift to your manager's request. This was happening before the patch and I hoped it would have been fixed because it does affect the gameplay causing you to play out of position. Drives me crazy because it happens pretty much every game.

Wow, that's absolutely amazing. I literally just played a game and the glitch I'm describing was fully happening.

I want to really stress that I am NOT pressing the return button too late. Last game I played, it was a 2-2 count, I had Bogaerts up at bat with Holt on first. I sent Holt and Bogaerts lifting a lazy fly to right. The MOMENT i made contact I know it's an out so I'm selecting the runner and jamming the first base button but he refuses to return and slides into second for an easy force out. This used to work fine in every other version, and I've been playing since '08.

I know I'm not the only one having this issue. I've seen plenty of others post about it, including in this thread. I am inclined to wonder if maybe I really should completely reinstall the game if there are others who for real never have the problem. Although I'm more tempted to return it and just play '13, in which there were no framerate or baserunner issues, and PNC looked gorgeous and there were classic stadiums, etc........

When you have some people with the issue and some without then its not that easy of a fix. Im not saying its not an issue. Just trying to say it doesnt happen every time. When i was trying to get the video of it not happening i actually had it happen on an out.

I've experienced an error, especially in franchise but also while editing rosters, that crashes the game.

In franchise this often manifests itself when you navigate to the 'contracts' screen. I believe error CE-34878-0, which I've seen mentioned but nothing with the patch.

I couldn't really determine from notes/manual searching if this was addressed (using my phone).

The CE-34878-0 blue screen of death is not specific to the Show. It's a PS4-wide issue that appears on a number of games, so a Show patch ain't gonna fix it unfortunately. It would have to come in a PS4 system update, but I'm not sure when--people have been getting this since PS4 launched last year.

Probably a daft question but if you are using pure analog, you have made sure that you have set the sliding decisions to on??
