Looking to make a 3-and-D guy in MyCareer (PS4)...

My first save is a scoring/rebounding center, but I'm looking to try a perimeter player now (3-and-D type). Some questions:

    1) Which shooting form/jumper combo has the highest release? Highest arc? Is there any difference in timing, or is it based on release timing alone?

    2) What position (PG, SG, or SF)/play style (presumably defensive or 3pt specialist) combo would you guys suggest based on the category caps? Also, which sig. skills are worth aiming for in this save?

    3) Is there any way to start a MyCareer using a custom roster?

    Thanks!

Actually, answered my own question 3. The posts I've seen are mixed, but it seems that you can't use custom rosters in MyCareer.

Anybody have recommendations for shooting form/jumper, and position/playstyle?

Can't help you with the jumpshot as there are so many combinations, but the position I would go with would be a defensive SF, and up your 3pt rating quite a bit first off.

I think you should definitely make a SG, at least you can get the lockdown defender signature skill.

The jumpshot comes down to what you like. Andre Iguodalas shot has a high arc and a high release or Dirk's with another base but that's up to you.

Even my sf that has nothing but 70s across the board can still put up triple doubles like it's nothing. There is no role playing in this mode. You ate always LeBron. Always.

Well I guess not a role player per se, but a Kawhi Leonard type guy would be nice (who doesn't handle the ball much, scores cutting to the basket, spotting up, or in transition).

I guess I could go the Pippen route instead and go with a point forward.

I probably need some athleticism in my player too. Maybe I should look and see if there's a spreadsheet for starting stats/caps, and work from there.

Here's a spreadsheet with all starting attributes and caps for each position/playstyle.
