Well that is stupid, but being able to save a game and come back to it is a step in the right direction. There are just so many times I want to start a game but know I don't have the time to finish, so if in-game saves are in, even like M25, I will be happy. I use it the time with The Show.

In Madden 25 if there were any interceptions in the game, and you saved it to finish later, the stat screens would show zero's for any defenders that had picked off a pass when you resumed the game. Also, if you had any alternate or different uni than the standard home or away, when you resumed the game the uni's would switch back to the standard. Hopefully these bugs have been squashed.

Madden 25 didn't technically have in game saves. Xbox one has a suspend play feature that allows you to shut the xbox down turn it back on and resume playing.

EA didn't add it, it's an xbox feature.

Wrong. It was on the PS4 version as well. It was definitely added by EA because the main menu even said "Resume game" when you booted up the game.

But there is no option to actually save your current game correct. You can't hit pause and select save game.


I just assumed it was based off of the xbox resume function.

No, it's definitely implemented by EA. It never says the word "save," but if you quit in the middle of the game, you see this option the next time you boot up, even if you completely power down the system. This is PS4.

My bad. Just assumed it was an xbox feature since madden hasn't had in game saves in years.

The resume function is why I got an xbox one. Probably would of gone ps 4 if I knew this. I mostly just play madden.

Surprisingly enough, they didn't advertise the feature at all. I was actually shocked it was in the game, because I never saw it on any fact sheet, preview, or anything.

The major problem with the resume feature in 25 was that if you were playing coop on the same team, the resume feature would only allow 1 player to resume. Major glitch which made the feature worthless for me.

I never bought madden 25, but does anyone know if you could save solo challenges in MUT the same way you could save connected franchise games?

I'd still like to see a true in-game save feature like what NBA 2K and MLB The Show offer. EA's seems half-baked (stats, uniforms not carrying over when you restart the game).
