I am excited for this game. I hope that Career Mode isn't based on W/L records but rather performance based. When you base the career mode on W/L records, it turns into a "UFC Type Mode" where all you do is try to win as fast as you can. WWE 2K15 can really make a difference by going with the Performance based matches and have one of the best wrestling games of all time.

Big wrestling fan and wrestling game fan here. I havent really surfed these forums much but by some of the comments here it seems as though people didnt like the attitude era mode or the wrestlemania mode, is that kind of a general consensus? I loved those modes and 2k15 seems like its gonna be awesome but was definitely a little disappointed that we are only gonna get to play through two rivalries. That being said im pumped for the career mode. Cant wait for this game

I'll take either Taker/HHH rivalry or Taker/HBK. I'd love that.

Though It's almost a guarantee we'll get Cena/Orton.

That's a good idea. How about having goals In each match, like bust a guy open, work the arms, put him through a table, etc.

I just hope the career mode allows some freedom, like choosing to be a heel or a face, whether to sneak attack guys or not, interfere, and all that.

What about sting/NWO

I am hoping for something along these lines. The Rock/Austin stuff has been done to death. The Monday Night Wars and 30 Years of Wrestlemania were enough for me. Though I wouldn't mind revisiting some of those rivalries with these new graphic and the animations 2K is sure to bring. I would love to see some WCW stuff like Sting Vs The NWO (Hogan). I know that Sting is a preorder bonus, but I don't see them wasting him on that alone. This is his first foray in the WWE/F in an official capacity. And if one of the rivalries do involve Sting it has to be from WCW, right?

Hearing this makes me wish NHL 2K would make a return. MyCareer would be great in NHL.

I'm not a wrestling fan, but I'm probably going to give this game a try.

I seriously doubt universe mode would be left off the game, gotta love the doom and gloom because it wasn't highlighted right away, universe mode is mygm/association mode in my mind

I agree with most folks I hope they still have Universe Mode and just haven't mentioned it yet. But I love the MyCareer idea. Just wonder if you can also chose a NXT star to use instead of a CAW.

According to the other thread, the French one, Universe mode is still included.

Why are people thinking Universe won't be in the game? There's an article and official strategy guide that confirms the inclusion of the mode.

Actually you could do that in NBA 2K. It was a mode that was left out of the next gen version, but in the 360/PS3 versions of the game starting in 2K12 I believe, there was a mode called "Creating a Legend" where you could take over the career of any NBA player on the game and put them on any team and play out they're career like the standard MyPlayer/MyCareer. It's not out of the realm of possibility to be here. Probably not likely, but not out if the question.

I remember Creating a Legend. But for the typical MyCareer to get the full experience you can't use a real NBA player.

Because they announced 2K Showcase and MyCareer people think they wont do Universe because they have 2 single player modes in the game.

Okay but MyCareer is next(or should we call it current)-gen so having 2K Showcase for PS3 and X360 as the only mode would've made the game too shallow, haven't been a fan of Universe but having it is better than not.

Would be nice if it was based on what the Booker wants. So if your told to lose and hit certain spots you progress faster. Only issue I would have would be it would see very pre determined as far as career path.

If 2K is basing the mode off of the current MyCareer model from the current gen version of 2K14 then its going to be heavily scripted which is bad plus it has voice acting which means its going to be headed one way. The worst thing that happened to WWE games was the addition of voice actors. In the old games when they just used text it opened up a lot more avenues for the story to go. Now because of the recorded voices it all leads to one way.
