FIFA 15: Team Management Details Revealed

EA Sports has revamped the team management in FIFA 15, with quite a few ways to manage squads and team sheets across all game modes.

Customize up to six different Team Sheets per club and alter your strategy based on your next opponent, the changing tactics in-game and fitness of your players. Get your favorite team playing the way *you* want them to play.

Team Sheets are available in Career Mode, Match Day (Kick-Off), Online Friendlies, and Tournaments.

Instructions

Up to five attacking and defending player instructions can be applied to each of the ten outfield players. These instructions let you manage the attacking runs and defensive positions players take on the pitch and gives you deeper customisation options for how your team sets up.

Formations

Preset formations for any of your custom squads and pick the best to take on your next opponent.

Roles

Set roles like captain, set-piece and penalty takers for each of your squads.

Tactics

Set a default Team Tactic to each of your Team Sheets so your gameplan is locked before hitting the pitch. Or go deeper and add custom tactics to any of your line-ups.

So if I'm getting this right, I can have my "A" and "B" team squads set up with different tactics?

If that's right, this is a monster - awesome change. Wonder how it will affect the custom tactics projects?

I like this, a lot.
But, so much wasted screen space by having half the screen be the team logo. Pointless.

I wonder what "adjust position" means in the picture at the top. Maybe you can now change a player's position to whatever you want. Probably not but it would be nice.

Let's hope that we'll be getting more additions to FIFA like this. I appreciate what they tried to do with the GTN last year improvements like this are what he game desperately needs.

This is great, about time they expanded the depth at which you can setup your team management/tactics.

I just hope you can save more than the very limited amount (26 custom tactics in FIFA14?) that you could save in 14. And like Oulzac brought up, why waste half the damn screen on a club logo, why not expand the info you see on the RHS, maybe showing more detailed player season stats & attributes/form/happiness/contract info etc?

I'd love the ability to see my player stats (season totals, league/competition totals & maybe last 5 or 10 match stats/form when making lineup decisions, instead of having to back out to a totally different menu.

Definitely liking the change, it was long overdue imo. Also I like the hexagon addition, reminds me of old PES and found it much better when comparing players than just players' overall rating.

I'd love the ability to see my player stats (season totals, league/competition totals & maybe last 5 or 10 match stats/form when making lineup decisions, instead of having to back out to a totally different menu.

I think having your player/team stats and upcoming opponent info/stats there would be great. That would be the best use of that space.

I can see that in a kick off, but in manager mode that makes no sense.

If it were the other team on the RHS wouldn't you expect to see a logo other than Barca, since that is the team being managed on the LHS?

I wish they just took PES's click and drag feature for formations. Would be so much easier.

I missed the part about applying tactics to each player individually instead of just the team as a whole. That is a huge improvement. I just hope it works well. If it works correctly, that can change the game immensely.
