Re: CONFIRMED: No Madden NFL 15 Demo
Real weak decision, EA Access is not a sufficient replacement for the demo. First off playing the game 14 days before release is big difference from only 5 days early. Secondly the demo is available to everyone not just those who purchase EA Access which is exclusive to XboxONE. Here's an idea, if their trying to push EA Access, they could have advertised it in the demo, even put a link to sign up for it in the demo.Though I havent bought Madden in 5 years I always played the demo. Watch other EA Sports game release a demo, Madden is always behind for some reason.Last edited by Mr.Smif; 08-11-2014, 12:58 PM.Comment

Re: CONFIRMED: No Madden NFL 15 Demo
Well I really believe EA is doing one of two things here. Kinda 3.
1. Covering flaws, there is something major wrong they can't fix and don't want us seeing it until we spend 60$
2. Its ballsmazing and they want us to just be blindly blown away.
3. Cutting budgets and not doing demo, which would be odd considering EA UFC had a demo. That IMO was terrible.Comment

Just to be clear EA access was never given as the reason for no demo by EA. Just just speculation by users here.
I personally don't buy it. I'm almost certain it was just choice and there's been various reasons as to why demos make little sense in this thread and others.Comment

I may have missed something but when did EA announce that EA access would be out by 8/21? Just because that is 5 days before Madden doesnt guarantee they dont have issues and delay it.Comment

I guess its a good business move being that EA Access dropped. This makes me wonder about other Demos in the future tho.Hook EMComment

Re: CONFIRMED: No Madden NFL 15 Demo
I'm not somebody that automatically buys the game every year like most of you guys, so this leaves me frustrated and disappointed. I was counting on a demo to help me decide if I would buy the game, since it's been several years since I've played.Comment

That's why digital games are pushed down our throats.Last edited by Mckinley Cash; 08-11-2014, 01:16 PM.Comment

Re: CONFIRMED: No Madden NFL 15 Demo
By the way, the lack of a demo is probably unrelated to EA Access, since NHL 15 is getting a demo (confirmed by the lead producer) within the next few weeks.Comment

Re: CONFIRMED: No Madden NFL 15 Demo
I haven't bought a Madden game since 2009, but I have played the demos every year to see if EA MIGHT have finally taken the game in a new direction.
The game has not evolved over the past several years, so I don't really need a demo to confirm that this trend will continue.
But, with a demo, at least there was always some HOPE.
Now, I'll just wait for reviews, which have not been favorable in recent years.
This move seems to be consistent with Madden's downward trend though.Comment

Re: CONFIRMED: No Madden NFL 15 Demo
Not really.
Most people who buy the game used wouldn't be buying it off the shelf either way. There concern is just new units sold, what happens after that with said unit has no bearing on them and they know there is no way to prevent trade in (short of digital release only which is coming).Comment
