Not really.

Most people who buy the game used wouldn't be buying it off the shelf either way. There concern is just new units sold, what happens after that with said unit has no bearing on them and they know there is no way to prevent trade in (short of digital release only which is coming).

You can't make the assumption that they wouldn't buy it new; I could make the exact opposite assumption.

They can prevent trade in by going digital only, like you said they were going to do. The fact that they would go to that extreme, or even consider it, means they definitely care whether or not you trade it in.

We'll just agree to disagree.

Disappointed. I just bought my ps4 Saturday and couldn't afford to add games to the price tag, the demo would've given me my first taste of madden on these consoles.

I've been going back and forth on purchasing because on one hand, I hate exclusivity but on the other I wanted to support the more sim direction. Now I'll probably buy used. I'm not confident enough to buy blind so I'll wait til redbox and ps4 users start showing their live gameplay to decide. By then it'll be a week out and the used copies will start to show up on shelves anyways.

If it's any help, 15 will be better than 25 it's showing like, and 25 was actually a halfway decent game on PS4. Did it have it's flaws and legacy issues? Unfortunately, yeah, but not near as many as you'd think. And it played well (save for those few issues). It was a solid entry. Buy 15 used, good idea; but it's a decent game.

Well now I'm going to buy an Xbox One so I can get EA access to play Madden because my PS4 won't have a demo!

Well I think alot of people are upset is because we're just use to having a demo of Madden this time of year and me being one of those people also. And with all the game play improvements being shown on twitch and other videos , alot of us are excited about madden and just can't wait to play it in one form or another. Its a bummer now with out the demo, its just disappointing. I really like Madden's game play direction this year and like many others just can't wait to play it.

No. You dont have to do any of those things. You could:

1) Rent the game when it comes out.
2) Read the impressions thread when the game comes out and see how fellow OSers feel about the game.
3) Watch the hundreds of video clips that will be released after release day.

Don't forget streams too. There will be dozens and dozens of streams.

Do people even play Madden anymore? I haven't bought a Madden game since 10 and i STILL enjoy it over the ones since. There's no Demo because its the same garbage they been putting out for years. I know it sounds harsh, but for crying out loud i wish 2K would make a Football game or something.

I agree that the game doesn't really change enough each year to warrant buying it every year. However, Madden 13 is the last version I bought. And I'm looking for an excuse to buy a ps4 so Madden 15 might push me over the edge. The reviews will decide that.

idk to me i think the build up to madden has been pretty quick im not to worried about a demo and were in the middle of august just two more weeks BUT i need it by midnight launch day in disk form
