If my player or his would get fatigued, injured or was backup only playing occasional snap while the other is on the field they should be just a spectator watching each play until they return or if both are off the field you should have a choice to sim to next appearance. Madden isn't the only franchise that needs to implement this, I believe 2K which is already on a different planet as far as gameplay would create a game that is hands down a must have for any sports fan or gamer. I hope that all makes sense to those who read this and if I have copied what someone else posted, my bad. I'm curious what others think on this matter.
I think they had that in superstar mode and it wasn't too successful ..... Well at least with the community I played with... We gave it a try but I guess we were cfm guys and like controlling the entire and franchise

Idk if they scrapped that mode but I stopped looking for it... Sounds exciting when you explain and that's how we felt going into the superstar cfm but it didnt work for us

But i do understand there are ppl like that type of gameplay you are describing epecially the my player 2k heads( sorry for the 2k reference )

In Madden 13 and Madden 25 as well as previous Maddens, I could not put the ball where I wanted. It is something that has killed Madden for me.

      Example:

A WR is running an out route down the sidelines. The WR has the CB beat and has good separation. The SS/FS is overtop but will not have enough time to get there. In Madden, It has been impossible (for the most part) to put the ball in that window.

Either the CB will miraculously catch up to the ball (the ball should be faster) or the SS/FS will get there in time. Also, you just cant throw over the shoulder and away from DBs.

I hate to bring up 2K, but in that game I could put the ball wherever I wanted and away from DBs. I could even throw at a guys feet if I wanted too.

All I want from Madden (as well as the other additions) is Full control over where I can put the ball.
It may seem like that but give me a good qb and good we and that out route will be money unless you cover the route yourself or set the right coverage....

My point is does depend on timing analog stick control and how hard you press the icon button and what's the ratings over the involved players

I can't comment on how 2k did it because I haven't played 2k since 2005 and I can barely remember how the game wa but do remember it gave madden a run for its money

It may need touching up and some other areas are lacking but I think gpthe positive out weighs the negative but a lot IMO

I always enjoy Madden they always had something wrong with them...Ican list it out from 1st gen madden up tto M25 but my down yes were 06-08 personally M13 is where I started to see the progress I finally was pleading for and now this yr all the news and additions and theology that's going into madden...

I dk about you guys but I havent seen a game listen and try to please the community as they are doing now ...granted it may have taken them too long they finally have...I was starting to be influenced by some ea bashing going on around the net but hearing about this and seeing some other good games they offer let alone the new ea access deal which is sweet... I'm not a fanboy just giving my opinion thanks I'm s xbox guy so I can get the game on 21 with out going around searching every store in new York to fine the game for 70-75$

Sorry I got off topic but that's just somethings I'm excited about and a response to a post

No doubt ON PAPER, there are some legit improvements made to make M15 a better game. All the defensive improvements should help balance out a game that has been largely one sided in the recent past.

One thing I have learned however is to temper my excitement with this franchise. Like I said ON PAPER all these improvements to gameplay and presentation look great. They all will mean nothing though if they don't function correctly or consistently enough.

Hey I hope the improvements are the real deal for sure because if they are I have a feeling we are all in for a very nice game of football in a couple weeks.

I have learned that with all video games, you never know how any features are going to work until you have a chance to test them out yourself. Skyrim on PS3 is a great example.

I am waiting to see if the AI has been improved to play a fair game win or lose on All-Pro.
Key issues I will be looking out for are:
              1. CBs reacting to routes before Wideouts make their cuts.
              2. CPU predetermining outcome of game at the beginning of the game. Specifically in previous years the AI was not that good so you would be stream rolling teams and say based on stats you have the best Defense in the league. There is always one game in that season (could be the superbowl) where you statistically have an inferior team yet that day your defense is clueless and your offense cannot execute any plays. If you restart the game 10 times you will get the same result. This is pre-defined outcome and it the worst kind of cheating. So I am hoping to see more fair contested games where the stats matter.
              3. Will defensive line moves be over powered?
              4. Will the run game be effective this year and will blocking behavior pick up obvious reads - IE guard pulls to lead run play but ignores the assignment and heads up field instead of sealing in the mic-backer.

Lastly I want to see how the new presentation holds up over multiple seasons. I like what I've seen so far and I hope it equals a FUN and intense game this year.

sorry i was typing from my tablet for any kind of misspells that doesnt make sense

Why i pay 10-15$ over retail price was because i can never wait for the tuesday to arrive to play madden so basically the week before i go on a hunt around new york looking for the game and whenever i find it early they usually charge me extra and i have no problem paying for it, especially im not really strapped for 10-15 extra $ for something that i enjoy

Impatience gets the better of all of us sometimes. I actually live in Thailand for work most of the year. You can usually find most games in the electronics markets a week early. All games here though are overpriced because they are all imported. Some Brand new games can cost as much as $80. The only good thing is they almost have the special editions of games for the same price.

Although I'm finally intrigued to buy Madden, I'm hoping the in-game experience has high replay value. Like will the commentary follow each season as they progress. Will the presentation hype up play off games and have rivalry stories that develops during the season. If I win the superbowl will that team be talked about as defending champs or will it be tired script?

They did mention in one of the streams that some of that stuff would be in the game but were vague on specifics. For me replay value comes from wanting to see my team I build progress from year to year. I want to see that young QB I drafted connect with the young WR I drafted and become the most dangerous combo in the league. I usually end up muting the commentary by year 2 and listening to music or sports talk radio.

I do like madden, but the game play is still very jerky. I thought by now EA would have made a transition to a smoother gameplay.

I wonder if they could code it that a pass inaccuracy is more likely to happen on a 4th down in a position that would be foolish to go for it in the real NFL. I am not talking about 4th and 1 from the opp 40. I am talking about 4th and whatever on your own side of the field in the 1st half, etc.

You mean all the "miracle" 4th and 30 hail mary plays that get converted on the regular? That would be very interesting and also force people into playing the game correctly (i.e. utilizing special teams).

Ok, all of these new features sound great, and im sure they will be, but this is madden and these new little tweaks and additions are expected in every new game. Since it is the first full year of having next gen I was expecting some big changes. Just look at NBA 2K15, there big new addition to next gen was MyLeague, and last year they completely re did the MyCareer mode and made it amazing(yes it had some growing pains) but what i'm trying to basically say is that other games are re doing there game modes or adding new ones, while Madden is just making small tweaks. I know I will still love the game when I play it, but this is next gen and they had loads of things to add and ideas from the community that they didn't add.

I would hate this. If the game is programmed and balanced properly, then the cheap moves like this would de-incentivize themselves
