Re: NHL 15 Gamescom Trailer
That shot of Marchand at around 55 second being a pest and Bergy at the end just wow. That's all I can say is wow to this game. If the game actually plays like this there will be no competition for Sports Game of the Year. I want to see what they have done for the playoff atmosphere. There is no sport with as thrilling of a postseason as the Stanley Cup Finals, past games started to build on that atmosphere but were limited by the console.Comment

Demo is coming August 26th they said at the press conference. For those that missed it....Even I'm starting to get worried about the lack of info regarding this game.
Correct me if I'm wrong but at this point in August don't we usually have around 90% of the games features and info? And again, correct me if I'm wrong but the demo date would be announced around this time?
Yet here we are in the middle of August with no real time gameplay that's from an official source such as IGN, Gamespot, or EA itself. As well as having little to no info regarding the game except for the same speech Rammer has been giving for months now.
I've been trying to resist these complaint threads but I have to same I am now starting to get worried.Comment

Hey EA, what's going on with Franchise mode? Or Be a Pro?
Oh the same glitchy, broken BS of the last five years? Alright, thanks for the crowd models though!Comment

Yeah, I mean that Iggy. The one that fights maybe 3-4 times a year. Even in your pic he's tustling with Gudas, I work with Gudas and I'm pretty sure he's pretty much tried to fight me at one point.
When I think of fights in the nhl they never occur like the way they do in game. If they did players would be suspended. And in club and otp there is no option not to fight and if you accidentally hit the button because you're trying to pin your player to the boards with the puck, the entire game will stop as you go and stop playing, drop your gloves, skate the length of the ice, and engage in a fight with a guy that hit your teammate (that you may have not ever seen happen to begin with). I don't disagree with anything you wrote. Fighting has been atrocious in games past but it has come a long way from what we once we had. The worst was the rockem-sockem robot fighting a few years ago. Hopefully fight logic was reworked this year. Last year I just turned it down to 1 or 0 and had very few fights per game.Yeah, I mean that Iggy. The one that fights maybe 3-4 times a year. Agreed. Not only do they need to adjust the logic, but also give each player discernible fighting attributes.I don't disagree with anything you wrote. I've KO'd goons with non-fighters with regularity.
This is one area where I'd love to see EA use 'weapons' like AFL2K did.
For fighting, some guys will have 'iron chins', 'one-punch KO power', 'strength' to ragdoll opponents, etc.
This would make for some hilarious matchups if a non-fighter dropped the mitts with John Scott or Paul Bisonnette.
I shouldn't see Datsyuk win any fights against top scrappers.
He shouldn't be fighting at all. If he does, it should be a very rare exception and only against players within his weight class, like Cory Perry.Comment
