wow that share play sounds awesome and I definitely cant wait to try it out when they release the update.

This is the one feature that I am jealous of PS4 owners.

I just don't see how Developers can be okay with this.

Also, do people really let other people beat parts of games for them? Lame!

If I was a game developer I would make sure to find a way to disable that feature for my game.

Cautiously optimistic about this due to latency concerns.

It's also at least a couple months out at best... the ps4 2.0 update is coming 'this fall'

If I was a game developer I would make sure to find a way to disable that feature for my game.

Why? It's free advertising. It's just extending showing off a cool game to a friend to over the internet. If anything it's going to improve sales.

It's fascinating to watch the competition between xbone and ps4. In our Madden scenario, you wouldn't get to try a game early for a fee like xbone, but you can try the game later for free on PS4 with a buddy. Competition is the American way, unlike the monopoly that is Madden currently.

It's fascinating to watch the competition between xbone and ps4. In our Madden scenario, you wouldn't get to try a game early for a fee like xbone, but you can try the game later for free on PS4 with a buddy. Competition is the American way, unlike the monopoly that is Madden currently.

The best parts of this patch (shareplay, youtube) actually represent them finishing the rollout of the features that had to be cut for the console's launch.

Somehow pivoting that into the fallacy of Madden being a monopoly is a good way to earn a pink name though.

Edit: hmm. post on GAF suggesting share play is limited to 60 minutes.

Because you're time limited and the internet isn't latency free. My wife can't even play pinball when the TV isn't in game mode, wonder how hard of a time she'd have with share play.

I typically find the games that I want to play with friends the most worthwhile purchases, it's why I ended up with 3 copies of M25 last year.
