From the past couple years, they've been blasted when they post any vids (for good reason), so this does not surprise me. I listened to the whole podcast and just said to myself, "wow, these guys are soooo far behind". No customization is HUGE for me. I feel sorry for guys who only deal with Live. Maybe I'll purchase their game in the future when they provide a full game.

Re: NBA Live 15 Preview(GamesCom)
It kind of is. If I was developing a game (or any software, for that matter), I would prefer people try it for themselves rather than see someone else play it. Not saying I agree with the lack of info so far, but I can understand it, if they're truly confident in it.Comment

Re: NBA Live 15 Preview(GamesCom)
I just shake my head at some of this stuff. So people criticizing footage of the game dictates EA's marketing strategy? And people are okay with this? Only in the video game industry is this foolishness acceptable. That's like Michael Bay saying "**** it, too many people are criticizing my Ninja Turtles" and proceeding to not show a single second of the movie until the month of release. No commercials, no trailers, no coming soon posters or nothing. Movie drops August 11? You'll get nothing until August 1st lolComment

It shows the gap in expectations between the two NBA games when we're criticizing the most minute details for the other game while we appear to be missing some of the basic features (roster customization) from Live. I root for Live to close the gap but it seems every year the gap keeps widening. Still want to get my hands on the trial and hope the team has made considerable strides from last year.Does a cheetah stretch before it chases its prey?

Quoting what I said a few posts back when the exact same thing was said.
No I think it's for both PS4 and XBOX.

Re: NBA Live 15 Preview(GamesCom)
This is big, if true:
I just posted on another thread a few days ago, that Live 14 lacked that power and explosion that is found in basketball, not to mention the NBA. Seems like they realized it from the start and worked on it. Good stuff! What I really liked about how the game played and looked was just that feel of power, collision and strength. That didn’t exist previously. LeBron feels powerful. It’s hard to put a finger on it...Last edited by youvalss; 08-14-2014, 07:40 PM.My Specs:

Re: NBA Live 15 Hands-On Impressions (MMGN)
I don't think there is such a gap as there are different priorities in order to bring both up to speed for the fan base. It is well documented that only some of the major gripes have only been half answered/addressed at this point by devs of both franchises. One has the hurdle of bringing in increased customization, graphics, and animation fluidity, and the other has to work on actual working game modes and online server stability. It shows the gap in expectations between the two NBA games when we're criticizing the most minute details for the other game while we appear to be missing some of the basic features (roster customization) from Live. By either measure, I can't wait for actual gameplay footage and feedback on both.Currently playing:

I will say this about their graphics... the jerseys are much better. They fit and move correctly. Gameplay wise, I've thought that since Live 10 that EA has had better court spacing and I think that trend may continue for 1 more year at the least. This is why competition is a good thing. I like when devs push each other, makes it much better for the consumer.NBA
