NHL 15 Gameplay Video - Los Angeles Kings vs. New York Rangers (Shaky-Cam)

    <iframe width="620" height="349" src="//www.youtube.com/embed/dUmUwsAL-GQ" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>

Another NHL 15 gameplay video has been released, courtesy of MadCraft Vlog. It's shaky-cam footage, so don't expect too much, in terms of quality.

Even with an extended look, I'm having a hard time seeing any differences/improvements at all, gameplay-wise. I really liked NHL 14 so it's not a huge deal to me, but it does essentially look like the same game with a fresh coat of paint.

The players aren't very good, so that doesn't help showcase a new game. The demo isn't too far off so I guess we'll all see for ourselves pretty soon.

Actually saw a some things I liked. Collisions didn't seem to always result in a massive hit, L.A. player fans on the one timer, some decent sloppiness in play for a likely low difficulty and no slider adjustments, and a good number of blocked shots/poke checks and good gap control preventing a scoring chances/turning over the puck over.

Graphics are just phenominal. I would like to see more player physics tho especially around the net. EA has been selling physics for all players on the ice, however i haven't seen many examples.

Still very excited for the game. Once they completely redo goalie animations and add signature styles, this game will be close to perfect in my eyes.

Gameplay is lightning fast but that was pretty cool to watch . Despite my reservations it was great to see everyone having fun. These guys looked like they were fairly new to the game so good on them. Cool little video.

Doesn't matter if the players are good or not. Is the physicist they hired a complete moron or what? Since when does the puck stay on your stick as your body contorts in a completely unrealistic way to turn around and unleash a slap shot. EA Sports has sold the masses another load of crap here.

I know I keep harping on it everywhere, but it's rather infuriating to me that the same canned animations are in the game four or five years running. It's unnatural and this game is a farce.

Only watched the first period of this game but are there are no linesmen in the game? Unless I'm completely missing something, I only noticed the 2 referees during gameplay, and that goes for the other videos I watched as well.

They had to remove them to get EASHL into the game... Oh, wait.

This was horrible to watch. EA hardly releases gameplay footage so we are left watching these two trying to murder their controllers by strangulation. This didn't help the game's efforts at all from what I saw.

Well it obvious they spent almost all there time developing the graphics engine and presentation. Which in turn makes compete sense. They have a small team so instead of upgrading the graphics a bit and constantly working on it year after year (like madden and FIFA will be doing) they already have a great base to start from. Now they can focus more on gameplay every year. With the smaller team they really have to pick one or another while the other big franchises can do both if they want. I'm. It saying the graphics won't get better for the nhl series but we probably won't see another leap for another 3-4 years as in what happens last generation.

They haven't touched the core gameplay in pretty much 7 years. Goalies in 8.

Nothing in that video makes me say I gotta have this game. Will wait for the demo and mode announcements to make a decision.

The collisions looked really good, I saw board play. One thing I noticed was a player hit the boards and spin off of them which looked good to.

I'm not sure I fully agree. I don't think the reworked physics look too different from the previous versions. There isn't much evidence of dynamic player contact being something heaps better than what we already have. Perhaps a subtle improvement? I am looking at this and trying to imagine an offline game against the CPU and remember the CPU normally has bubble protection which is very noticeable through the controller. This is what the demo will reveal as opposed to watching game play vids and reading about the new changes from the devs. To me, what good is there in having these physics advancements when they don't apply to the CPU?

Also look how quickly these guys are in on an attack. They regain possession in the defensive zone make one pass and are in. There may as well be only two skaters per side. And these guys look like they are new or at most casual to the series.
