I don't know how they can expect EA access to catch on if they take away benefits in its second year since being introduced. I thought it was a waste of money before. Four demos that use to be free, 24 dollars off digital games that you can't sell back if you get tired of, and a discount off a mode that is created to get you to pour money into monthly, for the cost of 60 dollars.
EA has done well with NHL but if it weren't for exclusive licenses I dont think I'd ever be buying sports games from them anymore otherwise. Though I wouldn't mind them adding competition back in MLB games.Comment

Re: EA Access Gives You Just Six Hours Of Madden NFL 15 Gameplay
I'm disappointed for sure but, only because I expected EA Access to be at least be like Season Ticket as far as the time you got with sports games. I'm an xbox only guy but, I'm not going to always paint a positive picture like some are just to win the xbox v sony fanboy fight.
I still think access is a good value overall for me but, It ticks me off that EA waited so long to tell us what they knew we wanted to here about the time limit. They did this on purpose to get more sales. It's going to backfire because I won't be renewing for a while just to prove a point.
If they would have been truthful from the beginning they would have got my 30 dollars in a few days when my one month is up. Instead 5 is all they're getting from me for a while as far as EA Access goes.

You know exactly why they threw that 5 days mess out. Don't act like everyone was supposed to know it meant 2 hours a day. Trail can still be 3-5 full days. That's still a trial. Season ticket gave us 3 full days of trial. You can put any spin you want but, EA wasn't clear on purpose. It made since for the only games to have a time limit to be games like Dragon Age.

paying for a trial when you used to get free demos that lasted forever or until you deleted them is just wrong. maybe sony was right in the fact that the value of ea access is not goodComment

Obviously I am referring to nex gen consoles. You are more than welcome to stick to previous gen. Previous gen has a much larger install base and was going to sell more copies regardless.
The fact remains. If you paid the full year for $30 just for Madden 15, you were doing it wrong. It’s easier to do the right thing, than to explain why you didn’t.Comment

Re: EA Access Gives You Just Six Hours Of Madden NFL 15 Gameplay
- 6 hours is a joke
- Any game in the vault will either be owned by me already or I didn't want in the first place
I already own Fifa and Battlefield 4. Fifa is good, Battlefield is..... not what it used to be and I regret buying it in the first place and wouldn't even think it was worth playing being "free". I just think this whole thing is a bad deal because who knows how often the vault will be updated. I would imagine with sports games you are going to get them for "free" a year behind if not more as the standard. Plus, I just feel like the average gamer would already own any game they wanted. Sure, maybe the rare game will come along that you end up actually liking and never owned, but I highly doubt that will happen regularly with the majority of people.
To me, had it been 5 days of unlimited play, I would find that a good deal. You can buy it a month and pay $1 a day to play the game early. That is enough time to see if you like it and would like to purchase it. 6 hours is far far far from enough time to see if I like a game.
I just don't like this deal at all and say shame on you EA. It just makes them look worse in my eyes when I thought things may have been getting better.“No one is more hated than he who speaks the truth.”

This just came out. What do you mean by second year?

People were not doing it just for Madden 15. im not understanding why its difficult for some to understand that there are people who "AT THIS TIME" were only interested in the early access to the sports titles. When the vault grows you bet I will probably subscribe. But right now theres 4 games that really wont hold my attention. It was the early access I was looking forward to. Thats just been cut down with the Madden announcement. So likely its gonna be 6 hours for Live, NHL, FIFA. Just not worth it for me at this time. I do not doubt that those games in the vault offer tremendous value, the games just dont interest me.
So not only do you save $2 on Madden 15, but you get 6 hours of free gameplay 5 days early.
Please. Please. I am begging of you all. Explain to me how this is a bad deal. And without comparing it to Season Ticket which is irrelevant since it was already eliminated from next gen consoles a long time ago and cost $25.Comment

EA offer two options, you can opt into a monthly plan of $5 or you can opt into a yearly plan at $30. There is a benefit to going into a yearly vs monthly.Comment
