I just don't get why they don't value their consumers. Its stuff like this that got them voted the worst company in America this year.

Re: EA Access Gives You Just Six Hours Of Madden NFL 15 Gameplay
Because they told us about EA Access, made it available, then waited to tell us that it would be restricted. Mostly everyone already bought it under the assumption that it would be like Season Ticket was. It's very shady how it was done. Only 6 hours? The only reason to do that is if you're afraid people will play it on this and not buy the game, but the ONLY way players don't buy the full game is if it sucks?
They did not wait to tell us it would be restricted. We knew right away that it could possibly only be 2 hours of early access.Comment

Re: EA Access Gives You Just Six Hours Of Madden NFL 15 Gameplay
THIS was the main point I think. People assumed because of past experiences OR whatever the case, that it would be different. And they assumed it so hard, they started believing it all as fact (especially since EA was so quiet about it and not actually giving the true facts), and when it wasn't fact (when EA released info), they got all pissed off.Comment

I check every outlet. That was never confirmed or even put out there by any reliable source.Comment

What is the benefit unless they're afraid that guys won't buy the actual game after playing it for a few days?Comment

IDK. Like I mentioned above, EA probably has this as a long term plan, but everyone here is thinking about it short term, so they're up in arms over something they may not completely grasp because they're thinking about it in the wrong way.Comment

Re: EA Access Gives You Just Six Hours Of Madden NFL 15 Gameplay
No need to patronize me.
I'm well versed in the structure of contracts and reading this post leads me to believe you might not be so versed.
I doubt anywhere in there it said anything about the length of Madden (since no one pointed it out) but I do know for fact that it was very well stated that the length of early access to games could be limited to as little as two hours and exact game titles were not specified.
There was ZERO deception. Just well written releases that never mentioned specific times with the game.
What there was was a lack of communication and I will in no way, shape, or form absolve EA for that, but to say you were deceived is factually incorrect.
You can lay down terms and aspects of an agreement and still be deceptive my friend. Look at 95% of commercials out there. The fact that they stated such vague guidelines with out disclosing what they knew they were going to do all along, smells of deception. Its like if I called you up and said "Hey pal can you come over and help me move" Now in your mind your thinking "cool, ill go over help him move some boxes and furniture into a truck and thats that" but when you get there I have nothing packed, crap all over the place and I need you to pack everything up with me into boxes, and then move. Lol, I didnt lie to you but I also didn't roll out the whole structure of the move. I was being slightly deceptive. Hey, thats the business I suppose. Still doesnt sit well with me tho. But like all things, this too shall pass and like the other guy said a few post back, this time next week it wont even be a thoughtComment

Don't make it more than it is. It's two groups of developers, a marketing team, and a board of directors that made a decision that their fear matters more than their hardcore customer base.Comment

you want a company who lays out terms and conditions, but still finds a way to deceive and thieve? DirecTV. Completely irrelevant here, but just an example since it was brought up.Comment

Re: EA Access Gives You Just Six Hours Of Madden NFL 15 Gameplay
If they said in the terms of agreement that you would get Madden for as much as you wanted for the five days leading up to release you would have a point.
Can you show me where they said that?
Or for that matter, show me what part of the contract was deceptive?
And again, I don't like it, I just think you are going overboard on the whole intentionally deceptive part.
I'm mad enough with EA for what they've done with the NHL series that I promise you I am not their biggest fan right now, I'm just being realistic with this scenario.Comment
