I don't know for certain what goes on at EA but I do know how most major corporations work and in most the equivalent of the development team would have very little to no say in this, usually a decision that is made much much higher than them.

I actually bought quite a few games based on those that I wouldn't have otherwise.Comment

Re: EA Access Gives You Just Six Hours Of Madden NFL 15 Gameplay
I am a PS4 owner and love Sony but just out of sheer curiosity how does Msoft have no integrity over a decision made by EA?? Sony not wanting this service was most likely because they have a competing service in PS+. They had a similar feature on PS3 with 60 minute time trials for select games.Seriously debating canceling my XboxONE/Madden 15 bundle and getting a PS4, a company with a little integrity. The only thing keeping me from doing it is that my best friend who lives in another state has an XboxONE and has been begging me to get one so I can play with him online, but I may have to disappoint him.Comment

Re: EA Access Gives You Just Six Hours Of Madden NFL 15 Gameplay
Here is my problem with the 6 hour access. For the last couple years we've been offered season ticket which many of us have bought and enjoyed getting the unlimited time for 3 days. When I read that there wouldn't be season ticket on next gen I was disappointed. When the information for EA Access came out I, like others, just wrongly assumed that this would be the new version of season ticket. Which they never said a time limit until days before scheduled early access and that is another reason this is such a large issue.
Besides increasing the play time from 6 hours the only other way I can see EA saving some face is leave the early access at 6 hours but also bring season ticket to next gen. Ok access is for all of EA which is fine, but just have a different service for season ticket again, I know it would be two seperate subscriptions, but it would be a win for ea to make more money and please sports fans while also offering access to their non sports fans or vault interested fans.
Edit: I would also be happy with if you have the option to immediately buy the full game through ea access after the trial period and continue playing for already committing your money to the game in an obvious way they can see and reward you.Last edited by SirRoyal; 08-19-2014, 06:37 AM.Comment

Re: EA Access Gives You Just Six Hours Of Madden NFL 15 Gameplay
Has it been mentioned how they are going to count the 6 hours? If I'm playing and then go to TV and it's paused is it counting?
What if I have to go to the bathroom? Can I get a lavatory pass EA?Spike DietComment

EA Access Gives You Just Six Hours Of Madden NFL 15 Gameplay
A lot of people were just used to the Season Ticket for last gen, so they had high hopes that EA Access would be no different (for sports games at least). I'm not saying EA hasn't been saying that games would only be available for a limited time.
Also, a lot of people make plans for the first weekend they have Madden, and I'm sure many people that got EA Access did just that.. Whether it be taking time off of work and playing a few hours of franchise or having some beers with friends while playing a tourny. 6 hours may br longer than some people may think, but it doesn't take away the fact that every person that plays it is going to feel rushed, thus taking away some enjoyment.Comment

Don't think anyone knows the specifics just yet. It'd be nice, however, that if the 6 hours are up, that you'd be able to at least browse menus and better yet be limited to watching CPU vs CPU games. I think there's zero chance for that, but it'd make the situation a bit better.Comment

Just going to drop my .02 here after watching these boards implode over (IMO) an expected announcement. Anyone who was expecting this to be Season Ticket 2.0 was fooling themselves. You're telling me that for only 5 bucks more a year, you wanted vault games, DLC discount, digital GAME discounts, AND the same level of early access for sports games that ST gave you? That sure is optimistic.
I am very grateful for 6 hours, it's 6 hours MORE than you would have any other way, and you get the other benefits. If you don't like the vault games/have them already/ whatever, cool, you still get the discounts. If that doesn't do it for you, then maybe this isn't for you, and that's fine too. But anyone who came in expecting Season Ticket AND everything else for only $5 more is really at no fault but their own.Comment
